Nice Job Richard.......placing 10th at the Grand American with a 13 month old pup is a pretty nice accomplishment.

It won't be long until I feel like Frog is ready to hit a few hunts.

Eric, Fancy did it right by the sounds of it. It sure would be nice if they ran them to us like that every night.

yeah, paid for it a few nights later.we need to get together in a day or so if ol man winter slacks up on us.had a good week last week.4 nights 11 coons.now winter has came back.

The Frog Dawg

Nice hunt tonight. buck came over and we decided to hunt right in front of my house and try and get a drop in before the snow, freezing rain and ice started. As you can see, we got through the first drop ok, decided to drop Frog again and she struck a hot one, treed it and while we were at the tree, the snow and sleet started. By the time we got back to my house, which was only a 5 minute drive, if that.......the grass was already covered. It was a good night.

Thanks Barnyard.......I try and dress up for the coon......but somehow I don't think they appreciate to much.

Last night

Hey Mike and Buck, I sure appreciated you calling and letting me in on the action last night. Frog Dog sounded real good on that tree and you guys sounded like you were having a blast.

It's nice to see those Haze pups coming on like that and I know there are several more out there that sure do have the goods.

Winter is set in hard up around these parts but it sure helps break it up when I can hear some action like that.

The dogs are doing OK, kind of getting a little fat on me but...it doesn't hurt to have an extra layer down at this time of year...tomorrow morning is supposed to be around 15 below 0 so they'll need it...me too

Yes, that is Sheba. Sally seems to cross very well with the T-Top stuff. I can't wait for the next litter. I am going to take Sheba and Chick to South Georgia with me next week for a little hunting. Maybe I can get one of them ready for Southern Days.

That 6 yr old Plott has helped to train a bunch of Redbone pups. His name is Tiger and he belongs to a well known Plott man, Mr Bud Ramsey. Bud has bred/started 2 World Champions.

Great teachers come in all shapes, sizes and colors...we should all be so lucky to have one within reach...eh?

The dogs look good Richard, especially those youngsters that start to figure it out...Every pup or rooky needs someone to show them which way is up sometimes.

It will be interesting to see how far those females can go, it's looking like a pretty good cross and a pretty good litter of pups so far.

Frog Dawg did a decent job last night. I didn't get her out til almost 10:30, struck a colder track. She struggled with it and ended up in a great big knotty poplar tree. I couldn't find anything. She also made a den tree a little while later.

Most of our tracks right now are pretty crappy but I will keep taking her and let her figure this stuff out on her own. If the wind would die down a little, I would take her again tonight but as of right now, it's not looking to good at the moment.

I heard through the grapevine tonight that a Haze/Reba pup was beginning to turn on pretty good down south.

Haze is a 2011 Performance Sire
