Will do Shane. Snapper should be coming in heat in the next month or two. She is as energetic as you can find, tries to do everything on a dead run, and has a ton of ability. I was going to title her before breeding her but I am thinking that this is a cross that is too good to take a chance on missing. Hopefully I can get a litter out of her and then title her later.

Mike Schmitt texted me and told me that his Rocky pup out of Ohio Valley Blue Jimmy and Ohio Valley Blue Jade was hit and killed by a car the other night. I hated to hear that as Mike really liked him.

PJ Spangler called me and is real happy with his female out of Ohio Valley Jimmy and Skeeter. He said she is one of the most natural pups that he has ever messed with.

Dakota Walker is shown with a male out of Ohio Valley Jimmy and Little Lou. He says the same things as PJ, that he can't believe how natural JJ is.

It feels good to know that these guys and others are enjoying some of the crosses that have been made. Jimmy is 10 1/2 now and although I'm not in the dog business, I may see if he is ok to get collected so I can have some of him around a little while longer.

Been doing some hunting now that the weather broke. Went for a hunt with David Smith this week. We hunted David's Jewel female out of Clear River Jimmy and Maxy, and I hunted Jewel's brother, Max, and my Snapper female out of Clear River Jimmy and Wild'N'Blue Snap. We treed a couple coon and heard some great track work and some intense treeing. It was a good night. I can see why David has been winning so much with Jewell. She is turning into a super fine female and he has done a great job with her. My two didn't do too bad either, just need more boot leather before I'll call them coon dogs.

Planning on being at Bluetick Days this year. Hope to see some of you there and do some visiting.

in and out.

Saturday night was the fastest I've ever been in and out of a cast. 14 minutes. First turnout ole Jewel loaded up treed. I was walking in there with my chest a little puffed out to be deflated by a nice looking possum lol. Oh well. I still had a good time. Came back home and treed 2 singles with her. Guess she just wanted some alone time pleasure hunting lol.

David

Just blame it on me for bragging on her. lol.

Jewel got another cast win tonight. Made me really proud. Treed the only coon that was scored. I had some tough competition and she did great.

That is great David. Keep up the good work. I took a little break over the week but got Max back out last night. He is starting to get back in shape and coming my way. I like a lot of things about him. Maybe he will make me proud one of these days. lol.

Shane

She did come in heat and things did not go as planned. It didn't look like the cross with Piazon was going to happen so I had decided to try to breed her to her Uncle Jimmy, but, her half brother Max decided to do a break in and got in the pen with her. So, I don't know whether he got her bred or not since she had only been in heat for a week. Wasn't what I was planning but that tied my hands on breeding her this time. I am going to see if things can come together to get OV Jimmy collected and then I will have that option with her next time or Mike said there are a few males out of Piazon that I should check out. I get moved back home and get settled in and then I can concentrate on the dogs more and have some time to do some travelling and check out some other dogs.

My oldest daughter's boyfriend lost his brother and his brother's 20 month old baby in a tragic car accident today. My daughter is also due on June 10th to deliver my grandson and I need to stick close to home so I will not be able to make it to Bluetick Days this year. Please pray for Justin, Jennifer, and Justin's family in their time of need.
