It's the active cases that matter (again, reporting is questionable). The plateau (flattening of the curve) comes when our resolved cases (death or recoveries) equals or exceeds new cases (that's the point at which our active cases can begin to drop). It looks like Spain, Italy, France, and Germany are at or nearing a plateau. Our active cases are still on the upswing. At last check, we have 38.7% of worldwide active cases (that's pretty significant for a country with a little over 4% of the world population).

And, reaching a plateau on a bell-shaped curve is not an end-point (it's a middle point). We haven't reached that yet. And, the ride back down is just as bad as the ride up.

Back to normal is not happening anytime soon. There will be a new normal. My wife is already bugging me to hook up the tiller to the tractor. Planning a big garden and possibly a small cornfield. Let's see how that works out. Plans are a lot easier than work.

Oh my goodness, more CNN numbers, if you want to compare our total numbers to Europe's numbers then you have to compare total cases and deaths per million population. The population of the US is as big as all of Europe combined. Number of daily new deaths and number of daily new cases is dropping already. We are on our way out of this.
The sky is not falling. Listen to the experts. Head of CDC said yesterday that we had peaked and crisis was over and we are on our way out of this so some states could start going back to work in a couple of weeks.

USA numbers 'look' worse because Hospitals are getting Govt $$$ for every Covid 19 patient treated,more if put on ventilator.

So now when anyone shows up with breathing problems{asthma,copd,bronchitis,pneumonia,chest cold,flu,even cracked rib} they are put in Covid 19 possible list and treated as such!!

Just has a friend with ostioperosis fell & cracked a rib.Went hospital to get it checked out.Not 1st time.
Since he had hard time breathing they wrote down Covid 19 possible.

Hospitals are laying staff off because nobody is suddenly sick from anything else!! MOST are labled Covid 19 to get GOVT $$$$

Search " hospitals laying off" see what you find...........

In the beginning Rates of China and WHO where reporting rates at 2%.. but we all now know they were both lying to the world.
Flu rates run one tenth of one percent or about 1 -2 in 1000. this corona is more contagious and deadlier.
Look at New York 5 %.
To put that in perspective. If there were 20 of you in a room that get it . One of you are going to die.
With the flu 1000 of you in the same room and got sick 1-2 would die .

I don't believe CDC . I been watching daily numbers . They update at noon everyday. Day before yesterday.. there were 27,632 new cases in US
yesterday there were 29,344 new cases .
remember these new cases have other people they possibly were near in the last few days that will now be reported in the next few weeks .
If EVERYONE would have taken this more seriously . These MORONS that went to beaches, Corona Parties, can't miss birthday parties, Etc., ignored social distance guidelines and handwashing. WE WOULD BE COMING OUT OF THIS!!
They are the ones prolonging this by dismissing it as nothing worse then the Flu for the rest of us that are trying to stop the spread.

Yes I believe this is a "Money Grab" Scheme by the hospital Administrators. NOT the Medical staffs. I have the upmost respect for them. I believe the numbers are getting inflated by the business departments of the hospitals.

Friends sister works at a Hospital 30 yrs.Never laid off til now....Suddenly no work.Everything classified Covid with ANY breathing problem....All other dept in hospital are dead.Even in the 'hot spot' cities.

Breaking news has linked the Covid19 virus to a lab in Wuhan a lab testing corona virus in bats, a worker from the lab spread the disease to the population in Wuhan, the World Heath Org. has helped China cover up this info and blame the food market for the outbreak. US officials knew about this lab running these tests on bats long before the outbreak and the lack of security surrounding the lab in Wuhan. Experiments like this should be banned worldwide.
