Will do Mike. I'll chase him around the table if I have to.

Fired JJ and Squirrel up for a drop last night. JJ struck in around 300 yards out and took off. Worked her way across a big section of corn stubble and up a small ridge and fell treed at 850 yards. Squirrel way a long for the ride. Get to the tree and it was big leaner going into another one. Go to shine and my light dies. It was pretty bright out with snow on the ground and a full moon.. I didn't see ol rickey. So I moved JJ over to the base of the other leaner and she was off. She moves the track another 175 yards and she sounded treed, but not right. Get to her and she's hung up on a woven wire fence. I toss them both over and JJ is off again. Up the fence line she goes. Falls treed again and she sounded like she was in a hole. Get there and come across an old cubed van body and I thought they were inside. So I just let them chop on it for a while since Squirrel decided it was to be fun in there. I hop the fence to go get them and they're underneath the body. Manage to get them out and leashed up.
Walk around and back to the fence and I see fresh tracks shooting back thru the fence and they both fire up. Toss them both back over the fence and it was back on. JJ treed a big VA rickey a 100 yards out. 2 hour tour.
This was one of the most fun tracks I've had in a while. Good exposure for Squirrel. We even walked by some horses on the in and out. Squirrel no likey them big monsters. Such a goof.
See ya in a while Tom.
Scott
I know wrong date. Camera batteries died too.

Finished Red Tonight to GRNITECH, I understand that makes 14 GRNITES out of Rabble

Posted by timber hunter on 04-06-2013 12:38 PM:

Hey Tom

I have the chance to hunt a real nice female out of Rabble Rouser that is around 6 that is a coondog. Apparently she has not been in any UKC nitehunts. She is in the south right now but I have been told she is a really good coondog and a hard tree dog. So we may be able to finish another dog to NITECH at least out of Rabble Rouser. We are going to also breed her to Red when she comes in heat!! Miss ya Tom, our church is praying for you, Blessings John Dell

I saw where that Wisconsin Hillbilly and his Rabble grandpup have turned Pro and are running with the big dogs now. Dave G, does he still talk to you? Oh my goodness, talk about the student surpassing the teacher!!!! Maybe I can get some handling tips from him when I come up this Spring.

LOL Richard. I'm not sure if you can call Hillbilly a "pro". We hunted the other night and he left the coon treein machine at home......I think he was afraid of being shown up by Cherry. Reggie has been doing a nice job, and Bruce has been putting a lot of woods time on him. I probably would disregard any "tips" he gives you.......lol

The Everready Kennels, they just keep on going. I see where a Rabble grand pup just won high scoring Redbone at Black and Tan Days. And a male directly out of Rabble is now the Current #1 reproducer. I wonder if Haze can sire as many Gr Nt Ch's as Rabble did.

He's just about 1 1/2 yrs old and was out of Boomers last litter and T -Top Miss Maggie. He is nothing to flashy but stays out of trouble and trees well mostly with a coon. I put him in 4 hunts he won the first 2 minused out next then won the 4 hunt giving him 3 first place wins
