New Blood in NE MO.
Ken Bikeley (English Fame) and Ray stopped by yesterday evening for a visit on their way to go hunting south of here. Ray ended up getting a young female from Turk x Magic and a pup from Turk x Penny. These blues should make the timber sing in N E Mo. Good luck with them Ray, maybe Ken will help train them with his good English hounds.........Tim
young dog
Got a call from Anthony Poole, S E Texas and he is really liking his Turk x Lucy female. Sounds like another one in the making from that cross. Anthony is going to put some pictures on the post in the near future. Good luck with her and keep her in the woods.........Tim
Mr. Tim I want to send all my young dogs to you for a one night rainy nasty hunt, cause you have some kind of positive dog voodoo..Ever since I got back Cadence has hunted harder than I have ever seen....

Saturday night I went to Kingston with Robin and put another Nt Ch win on her. Never had more than third strike and second tree but she stayed out of trouble and took a ton of pressure off of a black and tan female that would load up on tree and then scream out of there trying to pull dogs off tree. Robin never faultered and just treed harder.
This Turk cross on Mad Dog Lou is awsome. Hope we get to make it again.

It sure makes a breeder feel good when they hear from the National Forest of South East Texas (with few coon), the swamps and rivers of Southern Arkansas and Alabama, through the flatland of Kansas and the rolling hills of Missouri, up to the big timber of Northern Wisconsin, over to the thick coon of Southern Michigan, with the same statement being made. Mr. Tim all we are doing is reaping the benefit of yours and Mr.Pauls breeding program, beliefs, ideas, and convictions within the bluetick breed. I'm sure being recognized as a great breeder with pups that are tearing the timber up off of a couple studs from majority of your line of breeding is possibly greater than any title won..what good would a world champion be if they cant reproduce a coondog...You might want to get ole Turk collected cause there is gonna be some people that are kennel blind that is gonna miss the boat with him while he is alive, but gets new vision after the fact and need some help...maybe I done said to much sorry....

Hunt
Big Brother came over last night and we went for a quick hunt, Paul had AT A Girl and I took Ranger. We heaed the dogs down the creek and they struck at 250 yds, worked on down the creek for another 300 yrds then swung up a ditch and went down a fence row for another 600 yrds and got treed. Wen drove around to another road and got within 500 yrds of them. It was good open pasture walking to the dogs (if you didn't mind going through about 50 head of cattle). They were treed up a big oak between two ponds, had the meat. We walked around the cows going back. Paul didn't want to hunt At-A-Girl to hard since she is due in about 3 wks (bred to Astro), so we came on home.......Tim
Tim
those hunts like that are always nice, hope you have some more like that .......Gerald

last night hunt
Don Urban (Neb.) and I went hunting last night, Don didn't bring a dog down so I took Ranger and a young female. We turned loose 3 times, good track to a den, treed under the roots of a tree on the second turnout and treed the third track in another den but this one we could look up a split in the side and see the coon.
While Don and I were hunting Paul was hunting with Hank Taber. Hank had his nice young dog thyat he calls Slug and Paul had At-A-GIRL. Paul said that the dogs looked good and treed two singles and a blank. When Hank was ready to go home Paul met up with us and we turned Ranger and At-A-Girl loose one more time, they struck and crossed back over the road and got treed in about 300 yrds, when we got to the tree they were split about 20 yrds apart, both dogs had the meat . We decided that was enough training, can't make a COON DOG in one night.........Tim
Quality!
I know how good the founders dogs are in Missouri, I've had the honor to hunt with them and can't wait to get back and do it again. I get the priveledge to go to Kansas tomorrow and see Roy and Timmys' dogs go when I pick up Jas. The rest of month is all business with hunts here in Nebraska every weekend. Big Boy will be bringing it, it's his handler that scares me. I only hope I can do him justice. Jay

Here it is 1:45 and I can't go to sleep. I can't stop thinking what happened on our hunt tonight. I would like to thank you and Paul for all of your hard work on the Mad Dog line. I feel very lucky to own a dog out of Zip like Froggie. Now I have a 6 month old pup out of Turk. After what I saw the pup do tonight I feel very lucky to have two good females out of two differant studs that you and Paul own. Tim and Paul thank you again.....Doug Linn
Hunt with Don and Doug
Went hunting last night with Don Urban and Doug Linn. Doug had Froggy (sired by Zip) and Brandy (Sired by Turk) and I took Ranger. This was Brandy's second night in the woods and she went all the way, opened up on track and nearly matched Froggy bark for bark at the tree. Verry impressive for a pup that turned 6 mos old this week and not fooled with on cage coon or drags. This was no short pop up coon, they woprked it a long ways along Blackwater River and treed over 900 yrds from us. The tree had two coon in it and hung out over the water so the coon were safe. Doug told Froggie not to lay it on Ranger to bad so she ALLOWED him to tag along...........Tim
PS......I stayed back from the rivers edge since I was out with Doug....High and Dry is a good saying when around splash.
Roy
Since I was between Tim and the water I had to keep one eye on Tim and one on the dogs. Tim has this thing about slipping up behind you and pushing you in the water......Doug

Tim and Paul it was great seeing you again thanks big time for letting me tag along and see some blue dogs that have that extra push in um. Tim's Nt.Ch.Ranger and Paul's Ata Girl well only thing I can say about them two, get gone, get struck, open here, there, over yonder, treed, split - both had a coon.
Deaf treedogs - only thing moving was their mouths.
Doug's Froggy female looked tough, she can really turn the crank at the tree. Anybody try talking you out of your pup yet Doug?
Velisa, thanks for all the great food - Turnovers, oh can't forget the cherry pie. Came home to 99 cent pot pies from the freezer Glad to be back in Nebraska, the good life!!!
