there are a couple of females that will be bred to him this year. One is actually a really nice bear dog, it will be a linebred cross too. There is one nice female in west virginia that will be coming to him once she comes in heat, that will be the second cross from that female. Not sure after that.

Looks like ya'll had a good night.I blasted out a 20 pounder last night on the farm that has the big creek on it.Figured with it being time for fancy to come into heat and the new job getting ready to start i had better GET IT DONE while i have the chance to.

I would like to go again tonight but I can't. It is going to be a good night though, the weather is coming in late so I bet the coon would be moving.

Finally Home

I will call a few folks back this evening who called over the weekend. Thanks for the patience........when I'm with my kids from church, I won't take time away from them to talk dogs, but we are home now after a great weekend.

Chick and Sheba are looking good Richard. I guess I will see chick in action next week....eh?

Should be hunting frog tonight. we'll see how she does after a week off.

Tim, thanks for the update. they need to just keep taking him and not put any expectations on him......I bet he'll get going pretty good.

Well.....buck and I took Frog and Hurnie last night. We ended up only having one good track. It was a very hot track that only went about 100 yards........but it was 100 yards straight up anyway.....they had the coon.

Raven......I decided to take my final exam for the "Raven's School of Shooting".......I guess I will be back up this fall for more class time......the coon came out but only after several shots....

had a good hunt last night. wendell, buck and myself took willow, hurnie and frog. the dogs ended up treeing an ole mountain coon. it was straight up to get to them and the coon ended up 50 yards below after we shot it.

Wendell and I holding the skinny mountain coon......they sure can run this time of year.
