Up Date

My new pup has grown well time for some woods time and pics he's a grand pup to two of my dogs with the addition of Top Gun and some Smooth Talkin breeding . Right or wrong I managed to get a young female bred to my Rusty dog if all works out that will be a awsome cross .

Took two young boys hunting tonight the older boy has a young female he got from me first night to the woods for all three . Rusty and Patty put on a show for thew boys to talk about treed three the young female started the last one . Rusty turned ten this summer and still drives a track like a young dog of course I have a harder time keeping up but the knees don't hurt so bad following a father daughter team like those two till ya get home anyways ..

Had a couple girls night outs with Rose and Patty took a young fem along opening night made three trees third I found a large coon first two were big and leafy . Can't remember when I've had one bail on me put a couple next to him in the branch missed a couple and yup when he was next to me click and the chase was on over a hour of steady running alot of taps finaly caught them up . second night took a young male I got off JR Cartwright seems to be a natural treed byhimself on the way to the others then came in and went right to treeing so JR if your reading Bam is making it that was his first night out ...

Thanks Doug ya if you have enough pain pills you can go still fighting toget something done with the knee most of Oct I fought a prostate infection i'm still hoping thats all it is . Yes Rusty is ten has slowed a little but still wears me out . The Bam dog has alot of Rustys blood line in him wished I could have worked him more last year but i have to take what i get . I have a young Amish boy hunting with me some he's just learning so it makes it kinda fun showing him the ropes ..

Another nice night to be in the woods had three little boys one light between them didn't bother them a bit me I don't dare take a step without a light !! Treed a nice big boar the boys had a good time of course I had to have them home early so I called it a night aftewr the first tree Patty and Rose are realy turning it on standing there watching Patty shake that coon like it was a kitten just think I didn't want that little white pup but the wife said she stays

Another nice night to be out with the dogs Patty is on fire made two trees tonight about five minutes each . Two huge sows had the three boys plus dad tonight he'd never been coonhunting before but man can he see coon second tree was a big Hemlock he spotted the coon in a couple minutes no eyes . Took my Boomer dog Rose x Bluespeck hasn't been out since season started did a good job with Patty . Rose has been doing a good job but apears to dis like straw hats took some other guys out fri and she got a little funny around them . Rusty has been under the weather so he'll be out of the rotation for awhile

Sounds like ur having fun and enjoying dog work with the boys that's what its all about. Bluspeck is in Oklahoma at John Kirby's hunting and breeding a few females. Take care buddy, looks like we are getting a little white stuff Saturday!

Put the Garnim on the Bam dog tonight had to many spectaters and far to windy where we were but managed a den and a bushy pine Bam takes his time warming up but gets out by himself not afraid of the dark or a coon made short work of one last time out . Deer season starts week from Sat if the weather holds I'll keep hunting around home need to get some pics but been leaving the camera home when the boys go with no photos of Amish in this neck of the woods

It's with a heavy heart that I report the passing of GRCH Lakelands Rusty HTX . I bought Rusty seven years ago he made a fine addition to the Kennel .Patty has been on fire this year in the woods most know her as a show dog not a slobber slingin tree dog hope fully her brother goes the same way . I may have a litter comming out of Rusty it's toearly to tell if so I'll be keeping them for awhile to pick mine >>

Thanks guys I guess It happens more when they get older but It doesn't make it easier but when I see Patty work in the woods I see alot of him in her he earned a place next to the good ones

Well unless I'm wrong it appears Rusty got the job done in October before he got sick . My Lucy B female looks to have some pups in her . Lucy is off Lacey and Swampwaters Don't You Know Bo lot of realy good dogs in that pedigree

Roofus sired a liter after his passing. He passed a on Dec 31 and had pup's out if him in January... Odd that litermate Brothers having pup's after thier passing. God works in mysterious ways..

Little Rusty may have been born not sure when she started 6pm she hadn't but 11:30 theres 5 so far better now than when the polar express gets here .

I haven't hit the woods much between deer hunting and bear hunting. I have to get these pups out there. Twice the past month I have taken some dogs out and left Jasper in the lot and I have came home to him out of the lot and treed. So he is ready I just have to get my hind end out there. Hope everything is finding you well and keep us posted on these pups.

Know how it is I hunted a fare amount for me anyways had company most nights so put a wrinkle in hunting pups . Ran my Patty fem every night I went she realy puts her all in it was no fat on her by deer season . I was to busy to run during deer season and now we have winter here snow is knee deep in the woods thats after it settled down was 16 this morn at sunrise . We have seven pups she had eight won't know sexs till we have a warmer day don't want the box open any longer than I have to .

Checked pups today I have 5 males and 2 females so I should find a male I like but then I remember that little white pup I even tried to give away ha ended up being a well known show dog above that Patty is a intense tree dog .Rusty seemed to produce that

Time to update been busy with winter meat chickens comen and going plus the pups have to post pics and make my final pick . Have a new threat on the farm seems I have a young Fisher hanging around took refuge in a storage shed set a trap but he was smarter than I don't take much see it's tracks by one of the coops this am and by the dog runs they seem brave around here like the Red Fox they seem to know how close they can get to the dogs !!

My club Southerntier Coonhunters Sinclairville NY will be hosting a sectional April 15 . New twist this year instead of me showing a truck load of dogs to support the club I'll be the judge for the show this should help the folks that don't show much get a few wins . This is the start of me slowing down on the shows between mine and my wifes health issues I feel it's time to back off.. Neal
