Leonard what's your thoughts on a Cooter cross with a half-sister. Sadie's parents are your Hicks Rusty & Walker Mtn Rosie. If this kill season doesn't convert her silent mouth we'll most likely just keep her in the woods and seek a male with Cooter or Rusty blood this coming spring.

I AM SURPRISED THAT SHE WOULD BE SILENT MOUTH,ALL OF THE ONES I HAVE HUNTED WITH OUT OF RUSTY AND ROSIE GAVE A LOT MORE MOUTH THAN MOST PEOPLE WANTED AND I HAVE NOT HUNTED WITH A DOG OUT OF RUSTY THAT WAS SILENT ON THE GROUND.SHE WOULD CROSS GOOD WITH COOTER,SINCE ROSIE AND RUSTY WAS AN OUTCROSS,AND COOTER IS PUTING A BETTER BAWL MOUTH ON TRACK THAN RUSTY IS,I AM GOING TO BREED ROSIE TO COOTER THE NEXT TIME SHE IS IN.

Ha, my post sounds like we'd leave Sadie in the woods. Quite the contrary, I'm very satisfied with Sadie except the semi-silent part which could change. We're not comp hunters or breeders yet so the silent part not really an issue. She's only 15 mo ,wired 480, and a hammering tree dog. Has always been hunted alone and only saw 1 coon when she was 6 mo. Let us know when Cooter-Rosie pups hit the ground, we'd be interested in a male.

YOU MIGHT TRY HUNTING HER WITH A DOG THAT OPENS ON THE GROUND A LOT AND SHE MAY START OPENING MORE.

HE PUTS A BIG MOUTH ON HIS PUPS,AND THEY START EARLY,COOTER STARTED TREEING GAME ON HIS ON AT A YOUNGER AGE THAN ANY PUP I HAVE STARTED
