Yup everybody gets a chance I know a few people don't like me winning all the time I'm not bragging because I realize what I have I can't hunt like I used to so I've leaned towards showing to stay in touch . As far as being well I've dodged a few bullets lately but tests have come back good but not perfect . Still trying to get my knee fixed or at least find the problem but between 2 docs they can't even turn paperwork in to get simple tests done I've drawn a line in the sand with t5hem get it done or move on Hope all works out for you Doug

new pup

Well back to the events Crawford Co. Pa. had their sectional yesterday they had a pretty fair turnout . The hunt better than the show but I had comp in my classes my pup Slim did well for his first time to town ended up with king even did the kids show not bad for never seeing anyone but me he may be on his way he's put up pretty fair and bred to hunt so i have plans for him . We'll see how adding Top Gun and some Smooth Talkin breeding to mine pans out . Guess I should aded that Patty won Grand and Queen yesterday . Next week at Sinclairville I'll be judging the show as to give others the chance to take the top spots not bragging but showing is what I do my knees won't let me do the nite hunts .

Boy time flys not really havin fun though been busy with doctors and such I've almost lost interest but my young dogs keep a spark in the backof my mind My Slim male has developed into a handsome devil get some pics sometime he has my Rusty dog on top and Top Gun on the bottom will see how he does in the woods if the knees hold up

[E Days

Back from Ill had a pretty good time got hot though patty did good on Fri with a tuff grand female class but came out on top . Makes me feel good but she's one of my better tree dogs i can't hunt like i used to but i enjoy taking her to the woods . Did enjoy meeting up with friends over the weekend . Now to get ready to get yee old prosate worked on the end of the week took me about a hour longer getting to E days with all the pit stops the golden years are not so golden hehe i,m not the only one i,d say theres plenty of guys out there with the same thing going on having a Urolift a new thing uses perment stiches to hold things open instead of the old roto ruter job

Well feeling alittle better about another week i'll take the dog i brought back with me from e days to the woods the boys i traded with said he'd only hunt with other dogs not by himself i'll check that out first next thing he was started on bear first don't know if he was broke off them or not hehe could be interesting as we now have a fair population now but have far to many roads to try running them in my neck of the woods . i now have a smart phone to take pics with if i can figure that out

The bear dog didn't turn out ! Been trying to work a few young dogs with patty trying to tone her up for our last show of the year NY champiuonship . She's been working hard in the woods if I can figure out how to get pics off my new phone I'll put some on her and the Rose female did a number on a feeder track tonight this pair do a good job . Finally got some answers on my knee from a new doc seems the top component is either to big or loose or both waiting on report from cat scan to find how much work he needs to do been a long time comming maybe next year this time I'll be able to do alittle more in the woods.p icked up a young dog off powerhouse Buck he didn't like bear i thinkhe just is to independent to work with a pack will see atleast he hunts seems to know what a coon is but needs a fire lit under him

NY State event

I did fairly well at Catt. Co. Coonhunters ended up with my preacher dog getting King of show his son got a Ch win on fri and preacher and patty got Grand wins on sat patty didn't pull off queen but I can live with it we can't win everything . I keep saying I need to retire her and just hunt her as thats where she shines the best if I was able she'd be in the hunts but it is what it is . With that said it's to bad more New Yorkers didn't support this event !! I know I did my part .

the powerhouse buck dog seems to be comming along worked him on alive coon tonight seems to come by it naturaly of course he has the breeding for it just needs to be put in the woods

Well here I am in Hamot Hosp seems I had a hear attack sometime back got into heart failure so I got a helicopter ride down . Doc figures I'll be good to go by next week but figure I,m done running dogs for awhile at least things should be alright if I mind my p s and q s but will have to get past my wife

Thanks Doug headed home today doc says keep on plugging along they couldn't, fix the blockage but got the fluid out now I have a bunch of new meds if the ticker gets stronger no pace maker time will tell back at it when I feel up to it wife is another story

time fora update

Well the ticker beats fine but only puts out half volume so sometime soon they will be putting in the defibrillator fun wow wife hopes it comes with a remote so she can keep me in line HaHa . I,ll feel better out running dogs with it of course winter has been cold and snowy here no coon moving. Nothing new with the hounds other than I,ve made my mind up to cut back just can,t handle what I used to and more than likely that's the way it will be will see how I feel after the implant .Hope everyone had a good Holiday

Well finally have a date to get my shocker Mar.6th as most can see I haven't been keeping up . I hope after the defibrillator implant to get to the woods if I had a hunting partner that didn't mind taking a chance on me I'd be running dogs now not saying I'm scared but hay you never know .Have a young Red River female we,re trying to get bred strangest heat cycle I've come across in a long time maybe in a few days .Planning on breeding the Patty dog this spring this comes from the guy looking to cut down haha

Well things went well with the ticker got a lot of things unsettled about hounds and everything they tell me it'll be a year before I'm used to this thing winter seems to hang on training season will be over before the snow melts I can't do anything for 2 weeks anyway doctors orders

Your Chunk dog looks good from your pics I'm wanting to get mine out maybe I'll be ready when the snow melts haha I have a young male out of Powerhouse Buck that seems ready to turn the corner independent as the come but he does hunt well by himself the guy I got him from couldn't get him to run bear wasn't the bear he wasnt interested in it was the other dogs he impressed me treeing a hang up first night out but!! He has to have a bark collar and knows when the battery is dead!! I have some youngsters out of Rusty I have hopes for also.It'll be good to see ya been kinda grounded here for awhile and haven't been out

English Sectional

The threat of freezing rain kept most home so we had a poor turnout on sat threw Patty in the field trial to fill the cast she wasn't as white as when we got there but she did manage line and tree the tree came hard she's not used to coming out of the woods to a bunch of people standing around but in the dark she suits me fine she will be bred when she comes in heat should be soon

Patty,s belly is getting bigger

GrCh Rollinthunder Calico Patty was bred to GrCh Rollinthunder Jasper six weeks ago will post a add with pedigrees when I know what I have .And yes she was on the bench at e days last week but we just didn't get it done

Patty has had her pups but has had one problem after another still has four and I think that's all she has milk for not the greatest mother but not the worst time will tell !!

Have four nice male pups off Patty three will be at Oaks with me finally cooled off a bit gave my ticker and two females a try all went well worried about Patty as she hurt a hindleg last week getting off the tail gate at a rqe but all is well hasn't skipped a beat and my RedRiver female is well on her way to being a good one

Been running some as weather and a busy life permits kinda toned up
Patty before the world show everyone serious about showing should at least go and watch ! My dogs may not end up in the winners circle but I'm happy if they do a good job which mine did I'm just not as serious as I should be .Patty is on fire in the woods she is a fun dog for me to hunt with may not be everyone's cup of tea but at my age the way my knees are she's just the ticket guess I'll have to get some pics on here still have one pup to sell open the kennel door and he's on the run time to walk in the woods !

On the mend from surgery on my knee went well but the hospital was a nightmare even the water was contaminated when it comes out brown I'm not sticking my hand in it anyway I'm on the mend hope spring brings weather to get to the woods pups growing like weeds
