Another pic of bear and hounds. The pic of the single hound treeing is a young dog we are working with, I believe she will be OK.

He has one litter that is 11 months old and getting some good reports on them. Some are used on coon and some on big game. If interested in breeding to him ,just give me a call. Treed this bear and got my best female pictured below bit by a poison snake. The vet thinks it was a copperhead. Her leg swelled really fast. Vet thinks she will be ok, time will tell.

snake bites

I've had three hounds that were bitten. All three were bitten in the head and neck area and all recovered completely. I hope your female will do the same. How's Chloe doing?

Good to hear from you ,was your hounds bitten by a copperhead or rattler. I've been told that the copperhead is not as poison as the rattlesnake. We did not see the snake that bit our dog but the vet thought it was a copperhead because the fang marks was not far apart. Chloe is doing great, had her out the other night , and she treed us a coon. Hope to get her bred this January. If she has pups, I'll make sure you get one. Take Care.

Snakebite

I believe all three were bitten by copperheads. There are plenty of rattlers here, but I don't hunt in their territory until we have at least two good killing frosts.

Since the acorns started to fall the bear tracks is getting a little harder to find, but we are still finding a few to run.

This bear came out of the first tree, and he and the hounds had a round on the ground. The next tree he went straight to the top and stayed there.

Thanks Purgatoryblue

Its not easy to get bear and hounds in the same pic.Hope everyone is doing great, our bear hound training season has ended and we have had a good year. Its time to do some coon hunting, we have a 4and 5 month old pups that we need to work with, sometimes they can be a hand full.Hopefully Chloe can help them a lot. One of our pups is doubled- up on Anderson's blue jake ,and the other pup is out of Edwards Smokey River Blujake. We have had them in the woods and they like to go. They even like to swim in our pond. Time will tell. Talk to ya later.
