They gotta have one of them few & far between good dedicated runs, they better hold on to that one. $4.00 fuel at 5 to 6 mpg go's fast.

When Vic worked on the road construction & fuel got high he said the contractors would turn 'em down,he said ya talk about no power,it wasn't savin' 'em any money, but they thought they were. Got a load of junk on my trailer to haul off tomorrow,I'm in the money ... I hope.

Posted by hillbilly56 on 07-29-2014 03:31 AM:

i drove a brand new ltl ford tri axle when i came off the road had a 425 cat in it man it was sick boss ask me why it didn't run good told him it wasn't gettin enough fuel he ask me what we could do to it he didn't know anything much about trucks i took it to cat garage told them turn it up 10 percent it ran after that had a 2000 peterbuilt with that new 439 in it cat said wasn't alow to turn it up so i took a pair of vise grips and clamp on the return line that made it get up and go i mean't to type 430 for the motor

Posted by bigtimberkennel on 07-29-2014 03:46 AM:

10% over don't hurt a thing. We got a guy here that is real good w/ cummins diesels,he could make them 290's pull as good as any 400. He knew a guy that worked in a spring mfg. plant,he had that guy make him a bunch of them spring's w/ the right tention, change the button in the pump & it was off to the races. Had to keep an eye on the pyrometer or you'd melt 'em down.
