Thanks Chad. I had a great time in that cast. Lots of laughs......at the dogs and at us. I don't think we could have come out with plus points even if we would have tried to cheat....lol. Just wasn't meant to be I guess. We really need to train our dogs that if they are going to tree a possum......it has to be in the first 5 minutes of the hunt.......not the last 5 minutes of the hunt...

I enjoyed meeting you as well and good luck with Jr.

Chicken Foot looks good and is the way I like a female to be put up. Long legs and tall......with plenty of ear.......and boy....what a mouth that female has. She will finish quickly I think.

Lucky = Frog's Sister

Here are a few pics of Frogs sister Lucky, I know it's a little over due. We had a good hunt tonight, although it did involve water going over my boots, the coon jumping out like a flying squirrel, hunter chasing it down with Luck in the creek to finish the job. I imagine we looked pretty funny.

We turned Lucky loose tonight at about 8, she struck a track with in the first few minutes of the first drop, went about 30 yards one way up the creek, realized it was the wrong way and then she was gone in the right direction. Before we knew it she was about 300 yards up the creek and screamin'. She put the afterburners on and pushed this old bore coon up a tree he did not want to climb. We made it to her, shot him 5 or 6 time, and he finally jumped out. She ran him down into the creek, and that's where the battle took place. Lucky tagged hunter into the ring, and he put the coon in the camel clutch (that's old school, Iron Sheik!). Anyway, here are a few pics of Lucky from the past couple weeks.

It's good to see Lucky. It sounded like she did it right tonight. It's good to know that you guys are still a part of the VA Cartel.......I knew you were when you told me how many times you had to shoot at the coon.....then to have that coon bail out.....sounds like what happens to someone I know up north...

Glad you guys had a good hunt tonight. I'm kind of stuck....everything is in heat and Haze is nuts right now but he'll get some relief next week.

Let me know how tomorrow night goes. She should just keep getting better.

Hey Noah, that's a great looking female and some great pictures.

I really like the looks of her and of Frog Dog, lots of legs and a real familiar look about them...nice!

Continued good luck with her, if you ever decide to send her North, I've got a spot for her...she'd fit the program real well I think.

Hunter.......it is a perfect night down here.....hope you guys got to get out in the woods tonight. I would have liked to have gone, but I taught for 7 hours today in a parents workshop. It was a long day, plus, I 5 females here that are in heat.......(crazy) so haze is really pacing so no need to take him out.

Buck and Wendell went tonight but i haven't seen any pics posted yet, so either they didn't tree any or moose and willow are after a bear.....lol.

Kenny and I went, but it was a lack luster night. It was weird, we struck some decent tracks but couldn't really finish them, and they went a long ways. I haven't had a night like tonight in a long, long time.

All right Buck, Chick is 15 mos old today/tonight. I need a new picture for my collection. I bet that Jason hasn't had her out since SRD. If you don't watch out, he will turn her into a Bear dog too.

Well........it's been a pool of female estrogen around here..... Hopefully, I will be able to get Frog out in the woods next week. she is on day 16 or so. It sure is tough staying at home when the weather has been so nice.

I will be setting the trap tomorrow to try and catch a coon for a little pup training. I can at least do that while waiting for all of the hormones to simmer down.

I'm looking forward to getting frog back to the woods after her little break, I think she will pick up where she left off.....who knows maybe I will stick her in a hunt to see how she does. we'll see.

Don't you worry about Chick. You know that I am on the down low. You don't see or hear too much from me until I show up at the hunt. Chick has been under a tree everynight this week. Update: She has now been under one every night this week including tonight.

We are going tomorrow night.

Abby will tree coon, but Jason and the boys took her bear hunting and she took to it right away and is now one of their primary bear dogs. This looks to be a real nice cross.
