It has been a tuff year for us. Every time we have gone to a hunt we have came in 2nd (first loser). No matter what we do. 2011 just was not the Byrds year. The only great thing that come out of 2011 is we got Spice II back but I like to win too. We will just keep going at it and the bad mojo will go away. I hope! aaaahhhh Dana

You have the dog power. The circle of life seems a little long on the back side and is way too short on the front side.
Have the boys started football yet? My two Grand-sons have started and we are running them to practice twice a day. They both have quit coon hunting with me for now, they have to get up too early.

Beaux has started college and T Byrd has been praticeing for a month already. We will be at the bunk house hunt hope to bring one of the young dogs if they keep improving. We do have some great dog power but we just keep falling short for different reasons like everyone but our cast is hunting over buckets or handler error. I know it will change it can only get better. Tell everyone Hello and hope the grandsons have a great football season.

Congratulations

Brian Hutchison won queen of hunt and high scoring dog with Jazz at a bboa hunt in wisconsin this weekend. Good job and keep it up. It sure is nice to have hounds that can do it all over the country. Al, Ga , Sc, vs Wi are about as different as it comes.

thanks ROY i still have a lot of work to do on her and i'm running out of time.I can't find the part that is broke we go to the vet tomorrow and try it one more time,but i have my doubt we will have her 100% in the time i have left.---HUTCH

Been thinking about the Jazz and Wacker cross. I got too many pups now but checking with you about the availibity of a male pup. Let me know and how much. Might be the cross I need on my Turk females.
Hows the boys? My Grand-sons are keeping us busy with football right now. Seems like they both have a game the same night in different places. They are spreading Grandma and Grandpa thin.

We are all fine. Tyler had a football game tonight. I called Hutch from the field and asked him to answer you. The Jazz X Wacker cross was a good one. Hopefully we can make that cross again someday. Hutch and I spun our brains at autumn oaks on what to do.

This is getting close to my time of year, I really like to hunt in the fall. It was close to 90 yesterday and in the 60s today, won't be as hard on the dogs or this ole man...........Tim

is your female going to the zones, or is she in heat, I was sure hoping she would be representing the blue,s, rather everyone know,s it or not if she can,t go that will be the a huge loss to our breed,s run at the world, maybe the biggest loss we could suffer, 392 walker,s vs 93 blue,s headed to the zones, not real good odds, we need all the mad dog power we can get, good luck. I hope this email finds you well and Amy I hope school is going well for you. I wanted to update you on Remi and let you know how she is doing because I have not corresponded with you in a while. She is doing fantastic and we have already made so many memories together. A couple weeks ago we were at a competition up in Indiana and she was the dog to see. Everyone was admiring her and and was impressed with her bawl and good looks. I even had a man offer to buy he from me right there on the spot, but of course I declined his request in a heart beat.

I did not get another coonhound this summer because of medical school but I am thinking about it for this up coming spring/summer. I hope you guys and the hounds are doing great!

Another puppy is winning in our local hunts. He is owned by a Cullman County teen who says he is the best dog he has ever owned. So, Mad Dog South hounds REPRODUCE coonhounds!

Thanks for the reports. Several people are doing a good job with that litter. Thank you for suggesting that we make it and making the cross possible. I kind of got burned out on trying to advertise him for stud. There are too many studs being promoted. Some are good some are not. He is still here and we will consider any cross. Thank you for believing in what we are trying to do. Thank you for the hard work you put into that litter. 10 pups alive and well without losing a single one.
