Thanks Mr. Woofter. Nothing like having kids around to handle pups.

Gr Ch Gr Nt Ch Niangua River Mad Dog Ranger

Plan is in place to have Ranger in my kennels and available for stud between February 2015 and October 2015. Keep him in mind for stud service on your female next year. See page 8 of this thread for more information on previous generations behind the pedigree shown below. In my opinion he will cross well on several different lines of dogs and should throw some outstanding offspring.

Scott Neugebauer's pups off of Max and Snapper. He named the male Gunner because of his machine gun mouth. He says the female, Lara, is venturing way too far for a pup her age and is tearing up a coon hide. He says both are awesome pups. I can't wait to see what the pups from this cross are gonna turn out like in the future but I am expecting big things from them.

Made the trip to Missouri again and brought some more Mad Dog blood back home. Ended up bringing a male and 2 females home who are out of Dual Grand Mad Dog Blue Astro and Dual Champion Mad Dog Two Gun Sally. These pups act intelligent, are bold, have really nice conformation and sound like they are going to have the type of volume that I need in this hill country. I'm confident that they will compliment what I all ready have in the kennel. The cream will now have to come to the top.

Plan was to get a male and two females and then keep the female that I liked the best. Something tells me that I won't be getting rid of one of the females later on. lol.

John, will he just be at stud, or will you be hunting him some & show him in the woods as well?

That's exciting. Ranger was an independant hard tree dog when I hunted with him. One nite we hunted Ranger, Jazz, Two Timing Glo, and Froggy and until this day that is the most coon I have ever treed in a single nite. We got a lot of hides that nite. It is a special memory for me. I know Robbie Brooks really liked Ranger's dam too. Good luck with Ranger

Vic I plan on hunting him some and getting the HTX degree on him. I have heard enough respected opinions on Ranger to know he is the type of dog that I like, but I do want to see how he does things in these hills and hollers. I'm confident it will be the same way as some of his ancestors did. Your more than welcome to come over and hunt with him once Missouri coon season is over and I get him here.

He better get his fill this season of hunting in thick coon because he won't have that luxury here. lol. I've talked to Robbie some and I like the way he bred to produce the mother of Ranger. Ranger should cross well on multiple bloodlines.

I've never hunted with a Mad dog before, it would be good to see one go. I will try & take you up on that. I would gladly pay your gas expenses to bring him up to these flat land woodlots & rolling country just to the east of me to see him go as well.

C'mon now John! You live in Ohio, which automatically means you are in thick coon! A poodle can tree them there, everybody knows that

Vic

When I can find a guide, I gladly pay my own gas money just to get out of these hills. lol. When I went down to breed Ann to Ranger, I went hunting with Paul and Tim. It was like hunting in a park compared to around here. lol. Ranger has been hunted in the Ozark region too so he knows how to handle easy and rougher country I'm sure. He will do fine here and his bloodlines and traits fit in perfectly with my plans for the future. I plan on breeding him to some of my personal females and also have him collected for future breedings. Ranger just turned 8 years old so hopefully all will go as planned.
