Elmo / Earl I’m glad that she is somewhere where she got a opportunity and in the hands of someone that will be hard on picking out good and bad on their hounds. I really like the Bojangles male. We are planning to cross Reblet to Bojangles as soon as the opportunity come. And possibly she we have some success with a healthy liter. And this cross will reproduce some pups that will make a coonhunters dream come true!!! I hunted Reblet in a BBCHA event last night and we came up short. I call her treed on a tree that I no I should have waited until she settled down on and took 125- we look at 3 Coon’s on the cast. Hopefully I’ll get her in another hunt soon.

I had a few guys call each other talking about how they would love to get me out and buddy hunt on the score card just for some fun!! So when it got close to getting dark one guy found out he had some other things going on so he Quack Quack out Mr. Hall😁😁 so me and AJ decided to go and I didn’t won’t to hunt Ann but when it come down to just treeing coons and buddy hunting Ann is my side kick!! So we cut the two old dogs out and to make it short Ann made three trees two coons one den before Any other dog open their mouth. I also bought my male pup alone and the light 💡 come on for him!! I squal one coon out and the pup ran him alone and retreed him and I put in down to him. Then my buddy dog finally got a bad track and trail it almost 2 miles through the swamp and treed on the river and we put it down to him and come back to where we cut Ann out and track her up she was .078 up the river and still moving. We got in the truck and drove and got even with her and she got treed 100 yards from the truck and was in some pine trees cedar trees on some sandy river silk and couldn’t find the coon but was glad to put my hands on her so we pack up and headed home.. Enjoy your passion!!!

Back 3

Ok back for the third time a very good lil female that I’ve cut loose due too having to many dogs and she is tight on the ground but can tree her own coon anywhere and with me having other female at the same time I wasn’t able to hunt all of them I let her go but always keep in touch with who had her and every time I got down to just Ann I would always try and get her back, we’ll I got down to Ann/ Reblet which have some age on them I decided to get in touch with Roger from North Kansas area knowing that it was hard on him to really hunt her due to their hard winter and not able to give her the hunting she needs he decided to let me get her back so I got a dog hauler to pick her up and get her back to Louisiana. My interest in her is to get her back into shape and get her as good as she can possibly get. And raise a liter of pups. Possibly the two males I have in mind is tree banging Hoss of Mark Vest or Kid of Bob Turnbo I haven’t confirmed this with these two guys but that’s what I have on my mind. In the meantime I’ll be trying to get Fire line up to get in this spring superstake. Hopefully that’s my plan..

Thanks Elmo!! I just enjoy the hunts and the fellowship even more than I did 10 years ago!! Also a big thanks again to everyone that call and sent me congratulations and well wishes!! Redstick Fire

With long overdue I decided to buy a young female back from a guy wasn’t able to put a lot of hunting on her due to the hard winter snow, I decided I was calling him just to check and see if he was able to enjoy her since the winter came in and we talk a while and he hadn’t hunted her much and I was looking at my calendar and saw she should be coming in heat and we talk about her and I was able to get her back home!!! About the time she got here I was able to hunt her once and she began to start coming in . I still made a hard decision about what to breed her to it was a few good guys I call and talk with and couldn’t make my mind which way to go it was a very hard decision because she is tight on feed tracks . So I couldn’t get out of my head that I’ve always like Harry Darby stock of dogs and new that he spent years into what he consider dogs able to please hunters who are demanding. We talk awhile and not sure how we was going to make it happen, Harry sent Sticker to Baton Rouge to keep me from driving for hours without knowing if Sticker was blank!!! After 33 days I took Fire to the vet to find out and as of now it will be some more Tree Thumping hounds!!! Read up on Harry in your blue books to find out on your own how this line of dogs have been around so long!!!! Thanks again Harry/Robert for the help on getting Sticker to me.. And believe me for 12 years old that is one impressive look Hound!!!!!!

I’m so happy to get to this point of the year!!! I’m working on getting my shine female to be consistent and starting another pup this Fall!! The pup is off Botox &Honeybee he is not the first pup I’ve started at a young age but seems to be doing everything in the woods natural from going hunting too treeing his first coon alone at 8 months old!!! I’m more proud of this pup than any because he came very close to not ever going to the woods and coming home!!! Something about this pup made me hold on to him just to see what will he do when I just take time and let him be and not force him to do anything!!!! Lesson learn inspite of the old saying they all don’t make it .. And I agree they don’t all make it but this pup will make it and according to my standards he will be above average if I continue to hunt him!!! Redstick BoToxic!!!

It was a pleasure too meet you and talk!! I was trying too pick your brain and got some good insight and I’m still learning. If I didn’t have so many I would love to tap in and hunt something u have or breed into your dogs you have done a good job with your stock keep on and hunt what you like and it can’t hurt your progress 👍🏾. I would love to come hunt with you and your hounds and you would be welcome to come down south to hunt I’ll put a fan on the bike and hunt away from the gators if it’s hot or come next winter!! I do have plenty space for you!!!!👍🏾

Tim & I took a hunt tonight. The Kansas running season opens March 1. Buck is sure treeing good. Kate, Ben and Buck got treed on the first drop around 600 yds. Luke was split 60 yds. Saw two coon in Kate's tree. Luke was in a big den and I didnt want to lay down in water to look up in the hole at the bottom of the tree. We both decided Luke had his also. Next drop they pretty much went through a section and didnt get after one. Kate & Luke treed a pair at .6. Ben & Buck got treed 300 yds from them but pulled to them. Last drop they struck deep and treed a hedge tree but the coon crossed out. Luke had went on 600 yds to an old pond. I heard him locate, must of been in a beaver den. Tim sure likes his Ann pups. Mine sounds like she will have a chop tree mouth. She is a good looking girl.

I’m glad that u all are very happy with the pups and love too read how well your hunts are going. I’m still looking forward to getting their and make a hunt very soon. I keep saying I’m not gonna breed Ann anymore but I’m not gonna beat my drum but the two males I kept one was the pick of the liter and the other one was the one I didn’t think any one would pick. My two pups have started barking and if the cat takes off and run they will bark and chase the cat but the cat won’t go up just turn around a paw them and they get riddle!! Ann is not only one of the best dogs I’ve own but looks like she will be a outstanding reproducer as will and I’m very tempted to breed her one more time. 5/6 pups out of Bojangles are running and treeing one went to none coonhunting family they was just getting into showing dogs. { I breed her two times too males off Bocephus Not sure if I do try again what it will be I do have a idea but if these last pup start quick I will go back to another Bocephus Male or even the old man if he can mount her!!!
