hunt

Hunted Chief last night . It has Been a long time since he hit the timber. It was hot and humid. For being fat and out of shape, he did good. He made one tree, that he did a nice job on. Couldn't see more than ten foot up the tree. Made another drop and called him in when he was headed to a place I didn't want to be. He was working a track and had already covered a lot of ground. Sure is nice to have a good handle on a hound. It saved me a lot of steps, and didn't have to go to a spot that I didn't need to be.

I got a chief male

He just turn 9 months old. Goes with dogs and sure hates a coon only been out 5 times

Peaches. My uncle perry aka chiggers had him I got him off of him. Just got his pkc paid up in super stakes

Ky Blue Big Joe (chief X Peaches)

Ran and treed with my male tonight. He treed hard and steady. Just a few days over nine months and only been hunted 8 or 9 times. I was pretty impressed. O yea and a good mouth too.

I had a couple guys that where interested in a pup but wanted to hunt with Chief 1st. They came over last night. Chief has only been out 1 or 2 times since last Nov. He is fat and out of shape. Chief didn't let me down. 1st dump Chief struck a hot one. Run it threw a swampy thicket like he was tied to it. Treed about 500 yards in. even with his Tongue hanging to the ground he treed every breath, and never let up once. It was a dead tree that went in to a big maple tree on each side, and I couldn't find the coon. Chief was huffing and puffing all the way back to the truck. 2nd turn out I cut him lose and he was struck at about 500 yards in about 2 min. He took the track about 300 yards and slammed a tree. Garmin said he was about 860 yards in. We went in and he was treed in an apple tree that was covered with vines and the limbs going into 2 or 3 big trees. I couldn't find the coon ,But one of the guys with me said they seen his eyes once. I was planning on coming home to hunt Bubba. I was ringing wet and called it a night. For being out of shape Chief showed how much Heart and desire he has. I even had to go back to the kennel and put a bark collar on him. Chief thought we needed to hunt a bit longer. The guys that came over didn't want a pup. They wanted two.

Chief pup

Split last nite. Was in a grove of cherry trees seen 5 coon sitting around but couldn't find one in his tree. Done a real job though moves track real well.

I had a couple of gentleman from Maine, come and pick up a pup and go for a hunt with Chief. Made 3 trees seen 2 of the 3. couldn't find last one that we treed in a cherry tree. We had a good hunt, and they liked Chief.

Not sure how many Chief has but Belle was finished tonight with 375+ and no minus to GRNITECH
