Hunted at Holden over the weekend,Cowboy didn't look very good Friday night but looked better Saturday, he led the cast all the way until the last 4 min where he got treed and a little walker female, owned by Justin Cooper, split treed about 20 yrds from him, we found Justins coon but could"t find Cowboys. Did I tell ya Cowboy won Class, Breed and Show in the Bench Show.............Tim,

On the way home from the city had a coon cross the road about a mile from the house, it was 6:59 pm, no wonder we have been hitting so many cold tracks...........Tim

Out around the ranch all the time you see a few day time coon. When the corn is big you see them in the daytime pretty often. may have to take up daytime hunting.

Day time hunting

When I came back from Vietnam, in the fall of 1969, I was stationed at FT Rucker, Al where we hunted a lot in the mornings. We would meet at the local restaurant, have breakfast, then head for the woods and hunt until around noon, treed more coon than one would expect. Hunted a lot with MR Ed Parker and Charles Duty back then...........Tim

I have seen several coon out in the middle of the afternoon lately.
Some while I have been on the tractor, and last weekend while my kids and I were fishing in a farm pond.

If we could just figure out why they run early, late, or daytime it would make it a lot easier to avoid those bad nights.
