Hey Tony;
Of all the great luck my Hounder dog was dead in the pen this morning. Heck he was only going to be 7 in April.
Any ideas where there is any pleasure dogs for sale?? I don't want something that is going to blow out of the country but must run and tree it's own coon. 1/4 mile is far enough and 300 hundred yards is better for me, and then turn around.
If you know anything give me a call 217-460-1176

Sorry about your dog. Do you have a preference of what kinda dog you want? Hootie could probably fix you right up! Let me know and I will let you know if I hear of anything.
Chuck's rain dance probably ain't gonna do no good until after Tuesday. What kinda Indian are you any way Chuck that you got to watch weather first? L.O.L. We'll get together sometime Mike!
At this time of year definately not color blind. I really don't think he could fix me up with anything, wind has been blowing here about every night.

I was not meaning you and a lot of other guys running the competion circuit. I did it for years in the other KC making several Night and Grand Nites. The dogs today don't impress me that much the way they hunt. I am not walking 1-2 miles to a dang dog that don't have enough sense to strike coons within 200 yards of turnout. To bad they did'nt start with a carbide and a flashlight and then see how they want them to hunt. Only pleasure hunt anymore. Guess I don't have the dog power and drive I did when a lot younger.
When I was younger I had one of them go deep dogs,an English dog,turn him loose & watch him go,1/4 mile was close for him,& if ya didn't get there fast he'd leave,these Walkers I got now are more my speed,I reckon its all in what a guy wants,& comp. huntin' don't trip my trigger,if that's what another guy likes I sure won't knock him,I see where Mike is comin' from,& sure Alan didn't mean no harm.We did some buddy hunts at our club usein' UKC rules that was ok. Tonight's the night for Deacon too show his stuff........GOOD LUCK MIKE & CREW,give us a report tomorrow.
Good mornin'...... up & at 'em gang daylight's burnin'.
We did not do any good last night. Deacon was not on his 8 ball. Alan I started hunting in 1958. Carbide lights and no tracking collars or training collars. These guys today would not know what to do if they had to use carbide lights and 6 cell flashlights.

thanks bt
growed up with him and his family he work in the coal mines got laid off lost his family never went back to work just did odd jobs and start drinking and drank his self to his death it's a shame that people let achol destroy them them con would look alot better when we didn't have them high powered lights like we have today lol
They use to look at the red light on our wheatlights but then quit,but your right them carbides were the best for findin' coon.
