May not be worth selling this year anyway Rex..
Haven't heard much but may not be worth selling this year. I lost a 100 acres forrest land changed hands. No hunting now. Keeps like this last few years Larry Emberton is right all we will have around here is state land. Most deer hunters won't let you hunt until after deer season now in Hutton township.
Jeff
they aint jeff .talked to Darwin a week or so ago..he said didn't want any coons...if he did buy it would darn few for not much money...5.00 top ,most 50 cents to a dollar..this year its dog fun....

Maybe we will have a larger population then.
Some areas could use it. I get some time I will stop by been way to busy lately. Andy arrowed a doe the other day. No size out by dads all year. about a 1/4 as many deer as in past. No Big Bucks at all the will have to move in from somewhere else.
Fur is such a renewable resource it is a shame US don't use it anymore. If you don't harvest so much they overpopulate and die a horrible death and even more are killed. Always good to reward youngsters with cash from thier furs. Always made me feel good when I was a kid selling my furs, proud of my dog, my work and being a good warden of game. These shows of people living in woods and trapping and hunting like days of old will soon close if furs are not worth money. The indian side of me says; Being to civilized is not always a good thing. Scotch Irish side says; Indian is right.
Hunt, Fish, eat and enjoy good times, they don't last forever.
Jeff
Your right Jeff ,enjoy life as well as you can , because we only pass through this world once .

been chilly here all day finaly got up in the high 30s but the wind blow all day even seen some that white stuff floatin around
Some of this ground is freezin' up,the guy's pulled some hoses off the knifes on the anhydrous bar today, frozen tundra even snow this afternoon w/ enough to stick talked to the guy I sold hides to last year,he ain't buyin' this year, auction sold 3 yote hides a few weeks ago 2 brought $2.00 the other $10.00 we'll get together Jeff as soon as we get done farmin'. That new rig sure knocks out the haulin' so I'm hopin' we'll be caught up in a week or two. I hauled enough for 160 acres in 1 load,we've been gettin' 500 to 650 acres a day.
Treed one right after dark last night then a den, came home.....one thing about low prices...I didn't even carry the gun last night ,no shells,no skinning equipment...the way I get through the woods anymore iam glad to lighten my load..

Rex , what you need is a 12 or 13 year old bronco to run through the woods with you. Teach him how to hunt ,fish and dig sang .Man there are a lot kids out there that need mentoring .

Last Night With Mister Money Maker ( Moo Moo)
1 coon, 1 in junk pile and 1 in den looking out about 1 hour hunt. saw a deer and dog just looked at him. That is what I like about him and Moose. Shellbargers dogs are same way no junk. But i have saw in comp. hunt running a little junk and falling off on coon works well for some dogs. Sure glad Andy is a good shot as Moo is a terrible kill dog!! LOL
If they tree coon and do it right I don't care what color they are.
see ya
