Big load

Taken off me yesterday, doctor told me cancer hasn't come back.Should be able to get in shape and kick some walker but. 43 years ago today my wife and I were married, and still wouldn't trade her for a coon dog. She's a keeper, hope to make it another 43. Jeff would love to have you this weekend but they say we are getting another four inches of snow. Besides that I have to take mother to a bird show in KC. Simon needs a girl friend, that bird gets everything he wants. Chase, I will be up soon and you two better grab your ass, the BOATER is comming. I'll bring the RANGER and RANDY can run along beside us, that should keep him quite. lol sounds like you had some fun last night. You keep Randy inline, Mark don't believe you could handle OLD ANNIE, she has gone to bird hunting now .She ran a turkey back to me, she stood on her hind legs and located where the thing flew, would you call that a lay up? Talk at you later TOM

Congrats Tom on 43 yrs. That cracks me up about not trading her for a coon dog!!! Ha Ha I wonder if she would say something similar?!?!?! I know sometimes mine thinks I have traded her for one. She told me to marry a coondog one time! LOL Its funny now but not then! Yikes.

Now that is something I haven't seen from a coondog! My lab did that a couple times back in the day but not my coondogs yet.

Jeff
Taxes never fun but they are never going away. I just wish they would put them to GOOD use. We would be a lot farther ahead and I'd be happy if they just did that.

I heard to the north snow is coming. Glad I'm not getting that stuff.

Here is a short one of Stinker!

Snow

4 to 6 on the ground, but won't stay long I hope. Need to hunt these dogs ,got a mini slam next weekend. I have to make up my mind which ones gets to go CHARLES OR BOATER. Gas gets much higher going to look for a smaller truck. Sounds like RANDY has been having a little fun with those young dogs, wish I was a little closer ,could hunt with him a lot more. got to go drive through the timber to see if any coyotes are roaming around .TALK AT YOU LATER Tom ANNIE is not going.

My vote Boater.....Charles is already Sir Charles so he has proved himself already!

You will have fun either way.
Take care all. Grilling out some pork steak tonight with a few brews on the side....

RANDY

you make it sound like you hunted him forever, he is only three. There is no doubt that he will reproduce ,has some of the best blood the english breed has to offer. Being line bred off the OLD TERRY dog top and bottom. If anyone wants that blood we have I think the most concentrated there is. Charlie will be bred to STAR a daughter of TERRY when she comes ,TERRY three times in three generations, WOW that should be some stem winders ,but it is going to Happen soon. There is another female being bred to CHARLIE next week ,but I'll keep quite about that right now.Don't know what his intentions are ,but they will be some very good bred hounds.Last but not least we have a BYRD MAN female that is going to be bred as soon as she comes in,just a few that are already booked. Seems to me a lot of people like what RANDY has done over the few years he has been hunting, alot of people go for years and never get the respect he has TOM

Good job getting Charlie some females. It will be interesting to see what he brings to the table.

Rambo did his job last night with another dog. It has been about 10 hunts since he has last been with another dog in the woods. Need some refinement and I will be really happy. I've had to work on more with a dog...he shouldn't be bad. He takes his scoldings well....tough enough to handle them and not even bother him but not so hard headed he ignores it.

Superstakes coming up. Thats going to be some fun. I might be dragging by the time all said and done but itll be worth it. Hunting Thurs. night...then Sat. night...then hopefully with a lil luck on my side Sunday night.

Jeff,
I just remembered I was suppose to send you a ped. I'll get on that here while I got 45 min in office yet.

Hope everyone is having fun. Take care
Mark

Have a nice young dog that I don't want chewed on. Nothing to prove anyway, he's the best I have had since DOLLY only with a better mouth. When you look up a tree you get to see a coon , I quess I'm funny that way don't like junk runners or slick treeing idiots and OLD BOATER is niether. Got to go for now talk at you later TOM

Charlie had a nice day today, looked like he was enjoying himself anyway. Jeff brought a really nice looking little female down to meet him, should be some nice looking pups. Mother is leaving me for four days without adult supervision can't wait to see what I can get into while she is gone. My buddy Larry won the mini slam friday, if I would have known it would be that easy I would have hunted BOATER. lol Hope you have a good hunt tonite and we will be in touch LATER TOM

Posted by CBkennels on 03-07-2011 02:03 AM:

Hopefully she behaves well for you, shes normally a pretty well behaved dog, if she acts up feel free to put her in her place, LOL she would get it here. Cant wait to see how they turn out, hopefully give the holstien hunters fits. That Boater is a looker, nice mouth and made like a hound should be, he is a powerfull looking hound.

Ohhhhh look out! Sir Charles is gonna need the birds and bees talk.
Good deal. Thanks Jeff. I can't wait to see what they are going to throw.

Rambo looked okay. Showed some maturity tonight in his hunting. I liked that tonight.
Should be another good week of hunting. Probably hit up another hunt with Adam and see what Roxie is doing.

Jeff did you get my email? Just making sure.

800 and something won a reg cast at a local hunt over the weekend Sat. night. Pretty nasty night to be getting +800. I was surprised. 2nd place....200 something.

Have 2 locally this coming weekend. I'll probably just end up hunting though getting the youngin' ready.

Jeff

I may take BOATER up to BUB'S sometime this week if you would want to meet me there ,would save you quite a bit of driving .It was really nice meeting that little boy of yours ,hope you bring him back so we can go fishing. Love to have him ,kids and I usually get along pretty well . Mark ,I know one thing they will be some super looking pups thats for sure. Anyone wanting a top bred pup should call JEFF and get one booked now. Glad to hear RAMBO is growing up[nine months old] he's still a baby, how long before you get your feet wet with him? TALK AT YOU LATER TOM

Posted by Pioneer on 03-07-2011 04:58 PM:

Sounds like boater is going back to work again. Thanks Bub and have fun.
Your giving me the itch....we get a another warm spell and I'm going pond hopping around here. Fishing is one thing I wish I had more time for.
LOL Yeah I know for a 10 month old he is a baby yet. Its fun watching him at this age. His learning curve is steep yet.
I'm really tempted to get my feet wet with him but like you said he is a baby yet. No need to rush him yet even though it is tough not going to the hunts. Maybe next month I'll hit a UKC hunt.

Take care all.

Posted by CBkennels on 03-09-2011 03:34 AM:

Mark dont mind at all, I think there will be some coondogs come from this, Im gonna try to get all pups in the hands of hard hunters, my gut tells me these could be the kind of hounds I see people saying we need but then they breed for more big eared tree checkers. LOL I think that if people are honest about their dogs we can all improve, I cant wait to see these pups in the winners circle, I have no doubt they will make it.

Tom better talk to your wife LOL you know you guys can have whatever you want. I know that you guys will give them a chance and thats what I want. Hopefully Bub get Boater finished fast, I got a feeling with his looks the ladies be lining up. He really is a very nice looking hound.

Thanks Jeff

I like the looks of him myself and he is a coon dog to boot. I'll call you when I'm going to BUB'S so you can pick your female up, save you 4 hours driving time anyway and the gas is getting a little crazy. I talked to BUB last night and he is ready ,I'll miss the big dog but he's ready to do some winning ,I hope anyway. You never know till you put them out there, one thing for sure he can tree a coon and stay. Your female has been no trouble at all ,she's alot smarter in the yard than these knot heads ,can't blaim them though they just want to go hunting. Mark it was nice talking to you the other day, I believe we are on the same page. TALK AT YOU LATER TOM

Matt

I forgot all about that ,Boater is going to BUBS so he'll be gone . Charlie has been breeding females so I quess I won't be there, Are you going? Weather has been a little nasty here for the last few days ,havn't been doing much hunting. ANNIE came in heat last week so she is put up, hell I need another dog. Any body out there got a six to eight year old GRNT female for sale reasonable I could use one.I want to get a least five litters out of CHARLIE this summer. Matt let me know if you go down there I may show up. Talk at you later TOM
