Ya got plenty of wood at the ole cabin? Water freezes in the pan & a guy might rub his fingers raw tryin' ta get his gold out

So ol Chuck threw his backpack on and off to the creek I went , when I got there I could only get about 200 yards from the diggin's . Creek had been up and left a lot of driftwood and deep muck in places ,but I had my LaCross burlys on and away I went . After slipping and sliding down the 10 or 12 foot embankment I was standing on a new gravel bar dumped there by the flood . I hung my backpack on a tree limb sticking up out the sand and gravel,so I start my diggin ,classifyin the material down , til I had me good sized pan full , Walked to the creek ,put on water proof gauntlets (gloves) and proceeded to pan it down and sure enough ol Chuck had him color in the pan . Trouble was it was the middle of Febuary and had a nice skim coat of ice in the pan with my gold trapped in it ! I couldn't get it sucked up in my sucker bottle because it was frozen up too,,lol. So the old prospector saw he was whipped , grabbed my pack, shovel and other stuff and headed back to the truck . Remember that 12 foot bank the slid down ?? Well that little climb up took about 15 minutes of hard exertion ,lol, broke me of sucking eggs it did ,lol. Now every time I look at a little creek this time of year I think back to the "Ice in the pan" episode . Yep I be a fair weather prospector now .

No the boys had 1 around here some place,but since I got put out of commission never did hunt it up,I know it's around here somewhere.

Well tomorrow is spring and gold is at $1255.00 an ounce. Getting warm enough now to do some panning in the tub out on my deck, if I get a little chilly I can come in and warm up a bit .

Just got through reading an article" about gold "of course ,lol well the story was a short and sweet story about some spots on the earth that said there was 9 pounds (4) kilograms of mineable gold for every person on earth ! Now the catch is we need to figure out a way to get to the bottom of all the oceans !!Any ideas ??
