Mike, there is a hunt in new castle tonight also. Jason is going to this one. The directions are never right though.....if you come from 81, you make a right at anr's game room and go into the fairgrounds on right.

This is a huge tree that the dogs treed on a couple of weeks ago and we passed it going to the dogs the other night and decided to get a pic of it on the way back through.

The young girl looked pretty good tonight. Buck will post a few pics after while. We had a good hunt with Linkous and Brent. We had two singles and a den.

Hernie is becoming in the motherly way and feeling the effects so with all that precious cargo she is carrying we decided to just keep her in shape by pleasure hunting her a night or two until time to head to the welping pen

Well......Frog looked good in the hunt last night just came up a few points short of getting a win. She did however get a Best of Show so at least we came away with something....eh?

Looking forward to hunting her this week a couple of extra times.

Haze will be heading to Indiana in the morning with Da Moose and will be collected again.

The Frog Dawg will be going solo a couple of times this week, she needs it. I may even be able to get some video and get it on here. That will be cool.

Productive Day

Had a good productive evening. Got the yard mowed and trimmings, then decided it was a good evening to do a little training. Wish I would have taken the camera along.

Took a female named Lacy by herself and did a drag in the woods on our neighbor's farm. Laid the drag....about 75 yards or so through the woods. Got everything up the tree.......and went back to the truck. Got Lacy out and she was ready to go. She struck the track and ran it with her head up mostly. she ran past the tree about 10 yards, put the breaks on and came back and located the tree and treed very nicely. I followed Tom's training method while at the tree.......3-5 seconds face time then back up the tree. Praised her up and led her back to the truck while she was still fired up. Overall, went pretty good I thought. Lacy I think is ready for a couple of tougher drags and if she shows good on them, she'll be ready for a trip to the woods. Lacy is out of Haze and Ragged Ridge Reba. I'll get some pics later in the week.

Yes Richard, Haze had 4 or 5 pups that should get titled this year as of right now. A few have wins already. It's a shame that we lost Hope to the road last year, she already had a second place, when she got killed. Not exactly sure of how many pups Haze has on the ground right now, most are still under 16 months old, so over the next year or so, we should be hearing about more of them as they come to age. Frog will do her share of winning, particularly if her handler was better

Then, after all that, I fixed dinner, loaded up Frog and got out in the woods around 10pm. There wasn't much happening, just two cold tracks that Frog Dawg worked. Went about 500 yards on the first and ended on a den tree. Then struck another and went about 300 yards and ended in a big pine tree that had a split in it as far as I could see up it. So, not much action tonight but it was fun to be out.
Hope that Buck has a safe trip tomorrow through Thursday. Haze will be back home Thursday evening from being collected again.

I like to see pups start figuring things out too. Lacy is one that is still kind of an unknown at this point but I think she has the potential to become something, we'll see. I will do a tougher drag for her probably on thursday and on friday. If she does good on them, I may take her to the woods over the weekend sometime.

It's not my stock butter.., Just trying to put good stuff together.
