It was just a question since someone mentioned Kate in their post. When you have so many dogs from this line called Pepper it gets a little confusing when people just say Pepper and not their full name. I may be mistaken on the female but I thought he said Pepper Ann.
Do you have one out of that cross? How many pups were there in that litter?
It's good to see different groups working to concentrate some of the more dominant bloodlines that are impacting the breed at this time. I see you guys doing that with this pepper line, several people are doing the same with the rabble line and we are concentrating to outlaw/moonlight blood.
Most of these lines should cross well with other competetive strains in the future. I guess time will tell. Good luck this year.

You putting your dogs pedigree on my thread didn't bother me Dave.... I think your motives were pretty clear. Why did you delete it if you were so proud of it? You pepper guys act like you don't want me to hunt anything with Pepper in it sometimes and other times you say it will help my program...well which is it?
Do you want guys like me hunting this blood or don't you? I am very glad to see all of you hunting Outlaw/Moonlight blood and using it so much in your program. Isn't that called working together and isn't that good for the breed? I happen to like the way Burning Pepper, Red Rocker, Pepper Ann, and Jet are bred. When you run the numbers on any of them the % of blood from the Outlaw/Moonlight dogs and the dogs that produced them shows to be a very high percentage in all of these dogs....so why on earth would you think I would not like them? Dogs from the Pepper x Moonlight Kate cross are playing a very important part in my breeding program as I try to concentrate as much Kate blood and traits in my line as I can. I really couldn't do it without using some of these dogs....so I am thankful to Brent and the others who made this great cross happen. I wish Brent and Brian and John and Dutch only the best with their dogs out of this cross and look forward to working with them more in the future. I hope that clears up any misconceptions you have about what I think about these pepper dogs.....Shane

I think it is great that your Bill dog contains soo much blood from dogs I hunted years ago when I first got into redbones. I guess all of us are hunting dogs with some outlaw blood in them....so in a way...we have been working together all along. Keep up the great work guys!

Guys, if I didn't like something about the cross that these dogs are out of...or the dogs themselves...we would never have chosen Rocky Top Jet as the sire of our next litter out of Breanna. The cross on Jet is an important piece of the puzzle as me and my team continue to linebreed on the greatest crosses out of Moonlight Kate. The great thing about the pups from Bree and Billy Jean is that both can be used in your programs also to line breed on the pepper blood....so the future looks pretty bright for these dogs and what all of us are trying to do

I have paid the pepper dogs and this cross that burning pepper is from many compliments and even used this cross in my breeding program...and that in itself is a compliment...but still you try to find fault with my words. I just don't think you and I will ever find common ground Dave...and thats a shame because we are both hunting dogs from these lines. I hope that Brian and Brent are able to see that I have nothing against these dogs and that they are still willing to work with me and the other guys I am working with because I feel like these two lines work together in a great way.
I just think you will never be willing to work with us (even though you are hunting dogs that are heavy outlaw bred top and bottom).

And Brian or Brent.....how are these dogs crossing on the Rabble line of dogs? Have there been many crosses and how are they looking. These three lines are my favorites when look ahead at future outcrosses. I would like to hear about any pepper x rabble crosses and what you are seeing in those pups....thanks, shane

When I believe you are serious in that statement you will find me very easy to get along with.But dont pee on my leg and tell me it raining cause I know the differance.You make the effort without trying of belittling others and think that everyone owes you answers or needs to agree with you or else...or if they dont give you a pat on the back because everyone owes you..then no.I am not going to write a book here.And it aint all about me and what I did or bred or hunted so that makes me more superior and all others inferior.No one-not you-not me-has done it without others.I think most everyone understands that.The future is ahead.

I put in hard work and as much effort with my dogs as most of the people I know...but life has taught me that I would rather be lucky than good any day. You can be bitter about things if you want...but I really did mean what I said. These traits are natural-show early-and you dont have to work so hard to see it.

Why do you want it...

To obtain these natural traits so you dont have to wait forever for traits that you may never see in other lines.

So you get a dog that goes hunting...every time...

So you get a natural tree dog that wants to tree and stay put.

Most need just a few lessons and exposure and just hunt em.

Winners...isnt this the goal of every true breeder...to be able to compete and win anywhere you put em down.Can they show consistent winners when it comes to the big ones?There are VERY few lines that can do this.Speed and accuracy is bred in, and means go hunt get treed fast.
