Tomorrow is the big day! I am getting married to Karen at 2:30. Looking forward to my future with her and the hounds will still be a big part of our it. I prayed for a woman to come into my life that would put up with me and the hounds and he answered my prayers!

PJ Spangler called and said his 10 month old male out of Max and Snapper is coming along really well and he likes him a lot. That is good to hear.

Heard that a year and a half old female out of Ohio Valley Jimmy and Gr Nt Ch Briar Ridge Blue Lil Angel just finished out to Night Champion. Congrats to the owners of this female.

David Smith came over yesterday evening and bred his Nt Ch Sadie female to Max. She hasn't been successful conceiving pups in the past but she could this time. She is heavy Vinings Bullet bred and this would be an awesome cross if it she catches this time. Praying for success.

the final tune up.

Made 3 turnouts tonight. 4 trees. Saw 3 coon. I was well pleased with the dog work I seen. Me and the guy whose running Sadie now hunted together. The last turnout we made jewel and Sue...my buddies female got split. Saw jewels coon and could not find sues. Saw some nice dog work and very excited for this weekend. Thanks again for the breeding. If all goes well we will have some more counterfeits early this fall that may be able to tree a sick blind coon on occasion lol. Just wanted to crow a little while I still can. My luck in hunts usually isn't that good so time will tell.

blueonblue, Karen is going to try to get a good picture of her today.

novicane65, Thank You, I have been blessed.

Talked to JT Bradshaw of Higgins, TX yesterday and he told me that he had placed Ohio Valley Blue Diamond Tex 5th on Saturday night at the Battle of the Breeds last year. I had missed seeing that so a late congratulations to JT and Tex. Tex is out of the Ohio Valley Blue Diamond Jimmy HTX and Gr Ch Wild-N-Blue Little Lou cross.

Dakota Walker sent me this picture yesterday of Ohio Valley Blue Diamond JJ who I co-own with Dakota. JJ is in Wisconsin and is also out of the Jimmy x Little Lou cross.

Bred Ranger to Ohio Valley Blue Little Snap this evening. Snapper is a nice female out of my Dual Grand Jimmy dog and Gr Nt Ch Snap who was out of Spike and Wild n Blue Lou. Can't wait to see pups from this cross get into some hard hunters hands.

Ranger has been busy here lately. In the last month he has been bred to my Lexy female, out of Ohio Valley Blue Diamond Jimmy HTX and Gr Ch Wild-N-Blue Little Lou, my Snapper female, out of Dual Grand Clear River and Gr Nt Ch Clearfork Wild-N-Blue Snap HTX, and to John Vaught"s Nt Ch Midnight female who is heavily Hammer bred. All 3 of those crosses should produce above average offspring. Glad to see these quality females getting bred to Ranger along with Dave Woofter's Nt Ch Lou female. With Ranger's pedigree and abilities he should cross well on any quality female with ability.

I have not been fooling with the dogs as much as I should but Karen has been doing some bench show training with her 10 month old Beauty female out Dual Grand Mad Dog Astro and Dual Ch Mad Dog Sally. Took Beauty and a male of mine to the Point Pleasant, WV show yesterday evening and were fortunate enough to pick up Best Female of Show on Beauty and Best Male of Show on my male. Thanks for the push to go Karen!

Beauty

Got to see a male littermate to her last weekend. He had been running loose on a farm. I know the gentleman who has him has high hopes for sure. Hope you are well?

Lance I sure wish that I could have let these two run loose. They go stir crazy in the pen but settle down when something is being done with them or if they are tied out. Beauty picked up her Best of Show in her first show so we will Champion her out next month. Then we will start on Brook. Brook should finish really quickly on the bench as well. Finally getting things organized to where I should be able to start doing some more hunting soon to see what they can get done in the brush. Planning on mainly hunting the male I have out of Gauge and Robin in the next month to make a decision on whether he stays or goes. I'll keep him if I think he is going to be something super special, if not he will be for sale.

David and Kenny both texted me this morning. A couple super big trees that Poncho made that the coon wouldn't look or he would have advanced and David had a solo where he saw the coon but no one else did that kept him from advancing. Both Kenny and David drew former World Champions and hung in there with them. Just needed a coon to look at the right time and they would have advanced. Sometimes it is just a break in a cast that keeps a person from winning. They are both going to go for it again tonight.
