rickets
Rickets are caused by a viatim D deficiency which was reversed by the cod liver oil, and or sunlight. Is it possible that switching feed cause this?
TO BEST UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON HERE WITH RICKETS:
1. PULL UP "RICKETS IN DOGS", YOU WILL GET THE "MERCK VETERINARY MANUAL" WHICH IS THE GO TO BOOK FOR VETS.
2. IT BASICLY SAY THAT IT CAN BE CAUSED BY A DIET WHICH IS INSUFFICEINT IN PHOSPEROUS, VIT D. AND CALCIUM. THE RATIO OF CALICUM TO PHOSPHEROUS IS IMPORTANT.
3. READ IT YOURSELF IT SPELLS IT OUT.
