I really like him too he will never leave here. I have had the most fun hunting him, I must say I have had the most fun hunting him I have had in a while. I know I am going make some of my buddies mad but I am really considering cutting way back on the hounds. I am going to sell my pups out of Josie and Wyatt and get me another nice female to go with them. I been wanting to try one of Joey Hudson's Ol Bandit dog. I like what I been seeing out of him as well. But that is in the future. I am just focusing on Josie and Jerico right now. Did I send you a picture of Jerico? If not let me know and I will send you one he is a beautiful dog, a real pleasure to own.

I am glad that you are liking Jericho. He is a great dog and is what I think of when I think of a Ladner cur. He was raised by T Dog and is from a great cross of tree dogs. I was never disappointed in him from day one, whether hunting coons or squirrels he always did a good job. He was an easy starting pup and has thrown some great pups. I would have never got rid of him if I hadn't had several pups that I was putting so much time into. If bred to the right females you are going to have some awesome tree dogs. Keep him in the woods and he will make you proud. Glad to hear good things from these Ladner curs.

You are more than welcome to a pup out of him anytime, or any dog I have Jeremy. I really appreciate Jericho and he and I will have plenty of good hunts together. We may even come down and go with you one week end when Josie weans these pups. Or you are more than welcome to come up here. You talking about something pretty was him and Wyatt together the other day. The father and sone duo.

I have not seen Jerico in a while, so yes I would love to see some pictures of him.

I would also like to see some more pictures of the pups, if you have some.

If you get on Foothills message board, I have a picture of their black & tan aunt (Walters' Black Pearl) on there. I can not remember how to put pictures on here. haha

He is as beautiful as they come, I had to laugh at him today they treed two I saw one and missed it, I shot and he was looking up nothing hit the ground and he turned and looked at me with a odd look like he was saying you got to be kidding me. LOL! Then he quit hunting on me after that like he was pouting. Sometimes these dogs are to smart.

I have gotten two blue female form Curtis. Still have one, someone talked me out of the other one. Lot of Casey in the bloodlines.

Very interesting thread. Mr. Howard, I am the one that called you not too long ago to ask about your pup out of Boone. I got a male pup out of Boone and Rick Clough's Katie female. My pup is a black and tan and there were 2 of them in the litter. Going back a few generations on both sides, all the dogs are yellow. I asked Curt Ladner, Rick Clough, and Art Lee where the black came from and they all said old Ladner blood. So Rick's Katie is out of Loyd's Bud x Cry and according to those gentlemen, that's where the black came from. So I just think it's pretty interesting how those old color genes are there floating around, waiting for the right cross to show themselves. Like Loyd said, his dogs only throw yellow or red. Very interesting. I happen to really like the looks of my black pup, I wonder if he'll wind up looking anything like old Black Pearl? Time will tell.
