Ann and Aubrey,

I thought you guys might enjoy seeing this. I've been working a lot with a local 15 yo getting him started in the woods, and have placed a dog with him, that to be honest, I'm regretting letting go, he's gonna make a VERY NICE ONE, however, he's getting the hair hunted off of him, and that's all you can hope for, so I'll put my selfishness aside...

Anywho.... Josh has a friend that also has some coon dogs. Josh and his friend came over one night and went hunting with me. I got to talking with him, and he asked if I by chance knew who Aubrey Butler was. Long story short, he told me that he owns "Diego", who is by way of Clyde x Rain.

He asked if I could offer him any pointers on showing him, (I informed him I'm the LAST person he should be asking for pointers from), but anyways he brought Diego over and I tried helping him the best I could.

He hopes to take him to Highland this weekend and try his hand at the big time show circuit!!

Here's me with Diego.

Thank you all for the congrats. We had a lot of fun seeing everyone, and Tater did a nice job, handled the low coon population well, and got a few coon treed every night.

Brandon, wow. Diego looks really good. I told Aubrey he has Clyde's body and Rain's head. Cody sent me a picture of him a few months ago, but I think it was a quick snapshot with his phone, so he didn't look quite that good. You're doing such a good job teaching Cody and Diego how to show, you should see about Cody's cousin and his Kobe dog.....Kobe is by way of Rip x Maggie, and it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't a pretty fair looking dog either. Great job helping the youth and getting them involved.....it's very important for our sport, and it's very rewarding to see them succeed.

Cody mentioned sending you a picture message, as he wasn't sure if you got it or not. I asked Cody how he does in the woods, and he said not as well as he had hoped. I asked him how he was hunting him, offered a tiny suggestion and last night I got a text message saying, "DIEGO IS TREED BY HIMSELF!!!", followed by another text 10 min later saying, "I SEE THE COON TOO!!!". I think Diego will be getting the hunting time he dessrves now.

As far as Kobe, I'll do some checking.

Jeez, I sure am getting involved in the Redbones an awful lot for being more of a Bluetick dude....

And NITECH GRCH Two Worlds Collide is the current #1 Reproducer!! Thanks to all of you promoting a Clyde pup. You guys have put the time into your dogs, and have helped Clyde get to #1! He's been a fun dog to own, and is a straight up coondog. We've known that he's been a reproducer for quite some time, but it is nice that everyone else can see it as well.

Got the Bloodlines today. Current #1 Reproducer is NITECH GRCH Two Worlds Collide. 6 NITECH 1 GRNITECH 108 Pups Produced 6.48%

Sire is GRNITECH GRCH Keys Outlaw Razor Red.....#1 Historical Reproducer 33 NITECH 4 GRNITECH 341 pups produced 10.85%

Grandsire is PR Thomas Mo Bruiser
5 NITECH 2 GRNITECH 74 pups produced 9.45%

Granddam is PR Marcum's Red Kentucky Molly
3 NITECH 1 GRNITECH 20 pups produced 15%

Great Great Grandsire is GRNITECH Hayes Ramblin Red Ace. I am looking for Ace's stats right now, and haven't found them yet, but I know it was something close to 25 titled pups out of around 250 pups produced....giving him somewhere in the 10-11% range. I'll edit those numbers when I find them, or someone gives them to me

Also noticed that NITECH GRFCH GRWCH GRCH PR Red Fever Razor's Rip N Tear made the Top 5 Performance Sires List! Rip currently has 4 NITECH out of 58 pups produced 6.89%

And NITECH CH PR Welch Kids' Redfever Lit'l Ann (Clyde x Chance) made the Top Redbone Performance Point Earners!! Ann is owned by Stacy Welch & Family! Congrats guys!

As per the September 2013 Bloodlines, UKC #1 Current Reproducing Male is NITECH GRCH Two Worlds Collide. He has 8 titled pups out of 108 produced, for a 7.41%

In August, Kenny Deal got another 1st place win on CH Red Fever All Dressed Up (Rip x Fancy)....she now has 2 first place wins toward NITECH and is qualified for the World hunt.

NITECH FCH GRCH Red Ryders Red Fever Tater (Rip x Maggie) also picked up another win toward GRNITECH. He now has 3.

Aubrey had a Tater x Dice pup, Thunder, out for his first time to the woods a couple weeks ago. He got right in there with Tater, ran the track with a nice bawl mouth, and locked down on the tree. Looking forward to the future.....

Fired up the freezers today. Sharpened the knives. Building a secret tool to speed up the skinning process.
Taking the new .22 to the range tomorro to site in and do some praticing. Decided to retire the ol'lead slinging ruger.
Two weeks to go..
