The Light of Gods Countenance

Good Mornin ! It is really cool here in the bottoms this mornin 8 degrees,It was so cold the roosters was late crowin cause it was to cold to get out when they were suppose to. But when they got started they were a little late stopin. Lets get to todays message The Light of God’s Countenance

How easy it is to be deceived when we are not walking in the light of God’s Word. Charles Lindbergh tells about the time he was flying in a dense fog over Newfoundland. He noticed moisture beginning to freeze on the wings of his plane and thought, “This great adventure is going to come to an untimely end. What shall I do?” Then, he had a moment of inspiration. He pulled his plane up and out of the fog and burst into the dazzling sunlight where the suns brightness and heat thawed the ice on his wings. Have you ever felt like you were living in a fog and maybe have a little ice on your wings? Friend, He has a word of encouragement for you. You can get near to the heart of God. His light can shine even in the darkest or coldest corner of your heart.

Ask God to shine His light into the darkness of your heart. Ask Him to reveal your doubts and fears. Ask Him to reveal your sin that lies covetously in your heart. Then get ready for a blessing. Each time I think about Jesus walking the shores of the Sea of Galilee, How awsome it would be to see Jesus walking there. I would love to see Him walk on the water—planting His footsteps on the sea with the wind in His hair and His garments flowing. I think we would be better Christiansif we had seen Him dying in agony and blood, and to have experienced that Easter morning. Wouldn’t it have been wonderful to see Him ascend into the glory! We have never seen him but we have seen what he has done all of his creations and miricales and blessings that he bestows upon us each day.,, but I’m going to see Him. And you’re going to see Him! There’s a blessed hope awaiting us as God’s children. When He returns, He’s not coming as the carpenter, He’s coming as the conqueror!

Thank God for this Good News right now. The Real Key To A Happy Life And New Year

Hello Everyone! The first week of the new year is gone .It can be remembered but cant be brought back. Life is sure passin by quick for me now.Im 63 and on the down hill side of life. Life is good for me ! Im lovin it ! Friends and family and all things in my life I am enjoying to the max! and enjoying it more than any other chapter of my life. My family means more to me now more than ever ,My friends mean more to me than ever ,and reaching and telling others about JESUS CHRIST and geting people to recieve him to become a part of there lives means so much to me. Now listen to ole Riverbottom Ron right now..none of yous would of liked me at all about 14 years ago, I had a lot of bad 4 lettered words that came out of my mouth in about every sentence that I spoke. I was one crude dude that drank his share and yours of that stuff that the beer company says it tastes great and less filling. I never ever abused my wife cause I loved her so much I would of never done that. But my life and the way I was talking and living it was abuse enough to her. I was one lucky man cause my wife Karen Sue was a Christian that loved THE LORD. and loved me. She prayed for me,Asked me every Sunday to go to church with her which I didnt. She shead a many a tear for me. which I wish I could take back ever tear she cryed. In July of 2000 I had a accident I fell off a roof 30 some feet did some major damage to my body,the doctors couldnt believe that fall didnt kill me I was off work a year and a half ,I slept in a recliner for a year cause of all the bolts and nuts and screws that the doctors put in me to hold me together,,,,One night in my recliner as I was trying to sleep from the pain which was excrushiating,I reached over and took my wifes BIBLE that she always left there and I held it by my heart and asked GOD to take my pain away and told him that I wanted a chance in my life and want what my wife Karen had.I truly told GOD I want him in my life and want to change and I said the SINNERS PRAYER asking him into my life. What a change for Riverbottom ,,,Ron from that day forward my use of the 4 letter words stoped,that was just the begining I am so glad my LORD Jesus is in my life,I love him ,Hes Number 1 in my life.,he had a plan for me ,he gave it to me , and each and everyday he gives me another page to do from his PLAN BOOK..Im so sorry for this being so long,but GOD put it on my heart to tell yas,,,Lets get to todays message THE KEY TO A HAPPY NEW YEAR

Have you wished someone Happy New Year lately? Happy New Year is an often-heard, post-Christmas statement of encouragement and well-wishing. To be sure, everyone desires a happy new year … but how does a person actually experience a happy new year? What is the key to having 2015 really be a happy one for you?

Many people equate happiness with money and materialism. To them, happiness is a million dollars. Others equate happiness with good physical health. To them, happiness is an in-shape body hitting on all eight cylinders. Still others equate happiness with personal achievement. To them, happiness is a big promotion, or graduation, or a milestone achievement.

Years ago, I read a true story about tennis star, Boris Becker. He was the youngest man to ever win Wimbledon, achieving victory in 1985 at the tender age of seventeen. In the late 1980s, Becker was on the mountain top of fame, fortune, and personal achievement. Yet, he was so unhappy and on the brink of suicide. Becker was quoted as saying, “I had won Wimbledon twice before, once as the youngest player. I was rich. I had all the material possessions I needed. It’s the old song of movie stars and pop stars who commit suicide. They have everything, and yet they are so unhappy. I had no inner peace. I was a puppet on a string.”

Isn’t that amazing? Becker had all the things the world says will make for happiness, yet he was so incredibly unhappy. Could it be that true happiness is not found in health, wealth, and achievement?

The Bible makes it clear that true happiness comes when you and I are right with God. When we are yielded to Christ and His will, then we can experience true happiness—inner peace and unspeakable joy. Are you right with God today? Are your sins confessed to Him? Are you living surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ?

Blaise Pascal, the seventeenth century mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer, and philosopher astutely said, “There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus.”

Let me encourage you to take sober inventory of your life today. Are you trying to fill the inner vacuum with health, wealth, achievement, or the like? Those things will never make you truly happy; they will never satisfy the deep longings of your soul. The only One who can do that is Jesus.

Start your year off right by bowing your knee and your life to King Jesus. Give Him first place in everything … for that is the key to true happiness. How To Know The Will Of GOD

Good Monday Mornin,I had a great weekend and ready for what ever this day brings. Lets get right on to todays message.. How to Know the Will of God

“If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” - John 15:7

Do you want to know the will of God in your life? Here’s a test: how much time do you spend reading the Bible? Do you think God really believes we want to know His will when we don’t take even 15 minutes a day to read the one book above all books that God has specifically written to show you His will, to reveal His will to you, to unfold His will to you? Your first step in knowing His will is the surrender principle—surrendering our will to His. Your second step is the scripture principle. Read His word, meditate upon it, share it, and study it. When you bow to His will and read His will, you’ll know His will.

Commit to read God’s Word at least 15 minutes a day for 30 days. Our Founding Fathers created a governing framework based upon biblical principles. Slowly, we have changed from “one nation under God” to a group of people who no longer want Him to be involved.

Tragically, we’ve become, in numerous ways, an ungodly nation: many are driven by materialism and power; immorality and rebellion are prevalent; empty philosophy and false doctrine are widely acceptable. Underlying it all is a vocal decision to take God out of the nation’s “official business.”

Yet even in an unbelieving society, people can, as individuals, follow Jesus. But the world will continually disseminate faulty teachings, so believers must be discerning. Otherwise, erroneous messages can lead Christians to compromise their convictions. Then affections and priorities may change. Don’t let the world’s clamor make the Spirit’s voice less audible. Without His guidance, our minds become vulnerable to lies.

The Word of God is a compass that keeps us headed in the right direction—even in the midst of confusing messages all around. We need to be consistently filled with truth by reading, believing, meditating upon, and applying Scripture. God also tells us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17). If our minds are focused upon Him, unholy beliefs will not be able to take root.

The Word is our guidebook. We will still face difficulty as we live in this imperfect world—it is a confusing, dark place that entices us but never fulfills our true longings. Yet God’s truth will bring confidence and boldness, and His Spirit will direct and strengthen, enabling us to live victoriously. Faith Without Works Is Dead

When you ask God for something, do you just sit back and do nothing and say, “Well, I’m going to show my faith by doing nothing.” My friend,, To the contrary, you will show your faith by doing something. For faith without works is what? Dead! (see James 2:20) So you want a house? Pray for it. Then say “Amen” with a hammer and saw. Do you want a wife or a husband? Pray for one. Then go shave, put on some cologne,gals, do your hair,put on a nice dress, learn some manners, and learn how to be thoughtful and loving. then pray and ask GOD

What have you been praying earnestly about the last week? What is your heart’s desire? Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how you can put feet to that prayer. Then, walk the talk! Gods Provision In Your Life

Hey Everyone, One more day after today.Then the weekend once again. Coon season is goin good ,Im treein a couple just about everytime out ,My pups are lookin good. My son Jeremy chases those weary ole coyotes and Ive been a couple times and theres plenty of them around.We all have those things that we like to do,,But what ever that is ,,just make sure you keep Jesus Christ #1,First ahead of everything else and you will see that if its coonhuntin,coyote huntin ,golf, deer huntin, bowling, duck huntin what ever it be,,,, you will have better hunts , better games ,and you will be a { Winner } lets go to todays message,,,,, God's Provision in Your Life

A old huntin buddy that has since passed away once said to me Ron, “To whom little is not enough, nothing is enough.” I know what I want and I know what you want. I want to have some money in the bank and I want to have something there so that when tomorrow comes, then I don’t have to worry about it. Isn’t that what you want? We call that security. Question: is that really security? Who is more secure – the man who has a warehouse full of bread or any thing in life that you would ever need that thieves can get in and steal,and over time will only fall apart and decay or the man who has a father who is a very, very rich Baker and a Banker?

What To Do When You Mess Up

Well here it is again. Friday! Just what weve been waiting for. Its suppose to be near 55 degrees tomorrow,so we can get a few things done outside.Lets get on to todays message What to Do When You Mess Up

So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - (Romans 5:21)

There is a game I like to play with my granddaughter that I call Squiggles. I will tell her, “Just put down anything you want on a piece of paper. Make any line—just a little drawing. I don’t want it to be anything.”

So she will draw some crazy little lines. Then I will take her squiggles, her lines on paper with no rhyme or reason, and I will turn them into something. Usually it’s a funny face or a character. A horse or anything I can make from it,I have made some pretty weired lookin things,{lol}

In a much greater way, God can do the same for you. Maybe you have messed up. Maybe you have made a mistake and have done a wrong thing. Guess what? We serve the God of second chances. So you can come to Him and say, “Lord, I have really messed up. Can you help?”

His answer is yes. God will come and redeem the mistakes we have made.

Even Christians can wander away from the Lord. Even Christians can make bad decisions and do really bad things. We are effectively capable of doing anything, even as followers of Jesus, because we still have free wills and old natures. However, if you are a true Christian, even when you have blown it or gone astray, you always will come home again.

Hopefully you will learn from your mistakes. Hopefully you will not go and repeat them again. Hopefully you can fail forward, which means learning from your mistakes, determining to live a more godly life, and helping others not to fall in the same area.

The good news is that God can forgive you and give you a second chance. He will complete the work that He has begun in you (see Philippians 1:6). So even if you have messed up, God still can turn it around.

God can turn around any mess you make, if you surrender yourself completely to Him! He is the God of second chances. If you havent got Jesus in your life you cant believe all of the good things you are missing in it. The Burden Of Sin

Good Mornin, It sure has been nice outside the last couple days,I can believe its January 55 degrees yesterday. Dont let this weather fool ya theres lots of winter time left,and maybe a snow fall or two. Lets get to todays message. The Burden of Sin | Psalm 38:1-8

A Psalm of David.
LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath. Your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has come down on me. Because of your wrath there is no health in my body; there is no soundness in my bones because of my sin. My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.

Sin is a burden for the true believer. The guilt weighs heavily on the body and soul. David, the great warrior, likens it to being pierced with an arrow and having the wound fester. Certainly, sickness is not always the result of sin, but sin can impact one’s health. David felt “feeble and utterly crushed” due to his sin.

In today’s Christian culture this is not a popular truth. The line that sells books goes like this: “We are all sinners. Thank God for his compassion. We are far from perfect. Thank God for his grace. You will sin, but the loving God will not hold you accountable.” The line contains bits of truth. God is compassionate, gracious and loving . . . and . . . he does hold us accountable for our sin.

I am a sinner saved by grace and I thank God for his continual forgiveness, but I cannot use that truth as an excuse to sin. As a believer I must be just as concerned about sin on the front end as I am thankful for forgiveness on the back end. . David said, “My guilt overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.” That may not sell books, but it is truth from God’s Word.

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 3:14

The devil would love to get you distracted and get you off the course on which God has placed you. God has something He wants you to do and you had better not substitute the good for the best. Find out what God wants you to do and refuse to be distracted by the devil. You need to say as the apostle Paul said, “This one thing I do!” Know what it is that God wants you to do and do it with all your strength for His glory!

Take a few minutes to write out a mission statement focusing on “that one thing” (TOT) that you think God has called you to do. Then, post the letters TOT everywhere to remind yourself to stay focused on the calling of God in your life. The Ole Devil loves it when he gets you off track,like not readin yer BIBLE, Not goin to church,Getin back to doin those ungodly things that you use to do,,When the DEVIL is sitin on yer shoulder all ya gota say is { IN The Name Of Jesus Christ Get Outa Here!!!! } and Bam ! he will be gone for now ,but he always comes back and tries again... Another example of God's promises...

I want to take a moment to lift up praise to God the Father for the wonderful news that was received from Mr. & Mrs. Betty Flowers. After a bout with bone cancer for a couple of years, a bone marrow biopsy was performed a week or so ago and there was no sign or trace of cancer in her bone marrow today.... Thank you Heavenly Father for hearing our prayers and for delivering Mrs. Betty from her physical ailment. Glory to God the Father!
