I tried it again last night. You just have to love these cold crisp full moon nights. I made one drop. It started at 7 00 pm and ended at 10 00 pm. According to the Garmin, Boone and Lil Reba traveled 4.2 mi. And they had a little mangy Tennesse coon in a tall oak tree at the end. But I only had to walk 800 yds to get to them. Thank goodness for roads to "drive around". It sure is fun hunting a dog that goes until he trees a coon in these hills and hollers. But I think that I will take tonight off. I will lay on the couch and reflect on how Thankful I am that I have a real coonhound now.

This should be a big weekend for the Cartel. I see where they have bench show, field trial and nite hunt in Hillsville tonight. That sounds like something for everyone. Maybe Rachel will become a Dual Grand or Triple Champion this weekend. Will this be the weekend that Bond breaks out The Storm? Will he be able to talk Linkous into handling Rachel in the Nite hunt? Will Pastor Mike and Stella be there. Will Jason get that last win on Wilma? I am starting to get excited.
And I also see where there is a show and hunt at the Smith Mountain Coon Club in Union Hall tomorrow night. I haven't heard of them before. Is that a new one?

Nope I deer hunted today and going back tomorrow plus I already have a triple champion but of course it's a walker dog when she gets done being a wet nurse were going back to work at being a triple grand

Rachael needs 25 points to make nite ch 4 more wins to be a grand show ch and she is a grand field ch but she will be on the back burner for a while maybe a long while heck she is a excellent yard dog maybe that's her calling she runs loose and just lays around on the porch or in the swing why if she was the only dog I had I wouldn't know I had a dog she is like one of them lazy hounds like you used to see on Hee Haw

Storm is still a green horn but learning she is making a nice dog but still needs to be seasoned out I am in no hurry to night hunt her yet she may be ready by southern redbone days will see I have already granded her on the bench and she needs 15 points to be a field ch but I think my next goal with her will be a HTX title I have one on Willow and Samantha and enjoy going to them

Hey I wonder what Willow would do in a field trial hmm I may have to try the old woman maybe I could make her a triple grand

It looks like I got all excited for nothing.
Bond is a killer now. He is going to sit in a tree stand all weekend waiting for something, just anything to walk by so that he can shoot it. Maybe the Pro will sneak down to Marion tonight with Wilma.

Bond, did you kill anything but time this weekend? I hope that you got that out of your system and are ready to go back to coonhunting.

All done yotes are eating well food on the table plus the table will be less crowded one less yote now it's back to Storming them Rickey's

You do know that coyote hides are bringing $100 don't you? I would rather shoot a coyote than a deer. It would give me a sense of accomplishment to know that I had rid the world of one.

Shoot a big bushy one and stick him in the freezer. I will be up to get him shortly.
I got my new Bloodlines yesterday and saw where Wendy finally made one of those "lists" thanks to a lot of great teamwork. Now if Jason could just get that last win on Wilma and earn .5 performance points in the process.

Oh my goodness, it is Dec already. I had to switch to my Nov Bloodlines. It looks like the Pro Handler will have a chance Sat night at Hillsville to redeem himself. Has anyone heard anything from Bond? I guess that he took the week off after working so hard and putting in so many hours to kill something last weekend. Maybe he and Rachel will sneak down to Hillsville for a night of fun and fellowship.

I am working under cover on a Storm but ya never know when or where one may hit

China has hit the highway Linkous's has retired Betty has him cooking cleaning grocery shopping and running errands she told me Saturday when I saw her at Home Depot his hunting days were over than Monday he texts me and tells China has a new home I called him Tuesday to see if he would want to tag along with me and Storm he couldn't go he was at Wal Mart grocery shopping looks like we are the only two left

Maybe he is just making room for his next project. I would hate to have to put Linkous in the same class as P Mike and Buck. The Pro called me from the woods Wed night. He is still hunting his Rocky X Chick pup. I took Boone by himself last night and he treed one without any problem. I was home by 9 PM. It was downright boring with no pups along but I have to get him in shape for the Grand American.

Hunting Rocky and Chick pup and Chick and Boone pups. One of my Boone pups treed good the other night.

Jason, it sounds like it is about time for Andy to come out of retirement. Maybe he can replace Linkous. Watch for Wilma to start acting stupid. She should come in heat in 2-3 weeks.

Jason, no big bear pictures this morning?

We did get a nice one on Sat but without a little drama. Ended up taking Derek to the ER with a gash between the eyes. He tried the .44 on a charging target one handed. Needless to say her got branded with the hammer right between the eyes. They thought he had shot himself for a min or two.
Mike and I are going to get together for a hunt tonight. Maybe he will take a picture or two.

I have been hunting Boone all by himself and it sure is boring. You turn him loose and just sit and wait and he will find a coon somewhere and then you go get him. But you might have to do some walking. I don't know who is getting in shape, me or him.

Hunted twice this week. Doesn't seem to be much moving. Made three drops last night and never hit a track. Dogs hunted out well. Maybe tonight.

Boone and I won $72 last night. Now I have some gas money to go up to Greencastle, In Sat night and Sheridan, Il Sun night. Jason, are off from school/work next week?
