Those Haze pups sure did look good at American Redbone Days this weekend! If anyone wants to see what Haze pups look like, they can just look at the pictures in the Coonhound Bloodlines magazine.

with some dogs finshing the last few weeks this ped has had few changes pepper ann and bo have moved up on the list both should move up another spot next month
one dog short of having half historical list in this ped
i know kelly layed claim to the name pr the list ...
it shore would fit one of these pups .....eh

Well.....Frog basically needs 2 cast wins. Even though she got two wins at ARD, it still was only 15pts total.....so now she has 55 pts. I could probably try and get Frog finished before NRD but I figure I should just wait and bring her up there to hunt registered. We'll see, she may sneak one in on tom tom...

Haze Pup

Pastor Mike,

My name is Jared Hutcheson from Greencastle, IN. I also hunted a Haze pup named Boone this past weekend at Redbone days. I came out with 200 plus on Fri night and 225 plus on Sat night. Both nights i was beat in the last few minutes by the same walker female i happen to draw out with both nights. I was beaton due to what I would call "puppy" mistakes at the tree or or on the tree. He is only 15 months old and only really been hunting good for a couple of months, so he has alot to learn. He is first or second strike dog and a very fast on the track " I think he has more nose than sense right now at his young age." He is out of the litter that Roger Hall bred to his Ragged Ridge Reba female. We are very excited to have him in are kennel and cant wait to see him progress.

It was nice to meet you guys to. Congrats on your win.
I am going to try to hit english days Fri night. It is still up in the air on nationals, we may be going to Tennesee to visit family over the fourth. I wished we would have came out with a win too but I was satisfied with the outcome anyways. It was his first time in a hunt and I wasn't sure how he was going to act. So i guess plus points are a positive, that walker female was a tough little dog, I compliment the boy who has her, he has done a nice job with her. I don't want to burn him out to much so i may not put him in to many hunts till after this kill season. We only took him just a handful of times last year beacause we just wasnt ready,
so he has only seen maybe 5 or 6 coons, and he has really only been hunting good for about 2 months.

Hi Jared,

I'm glad your pup is doing well. Most of the time they just need to be given an honest chance and you guys are doing that and then some.......so congrats on your nice young prospect. I hope he continues to turn into a nice dog. This coming fall and kill season will be instrumental in his development I think. I know what you mean when you say he has more nose than brains.....I've dealt with that one a time or two. From the sounds of it and what Roger had told me, he is taking after his daddy on the track speed. That is one of Hazes best strengths. Either way, it's a great combination of blood that has seemed to mix really well. I still have a litter mate to your pup. we'll see what she will do. take care.

Pastor Mike, Tom was born ready, remember he is out of Haze. But Chick is the one that I am watching out for now that she is out of heat. Jason is in hiding and I have been unable to find anything out. She is either doing real well or real bad.

It sure is a nice night tonight......to bad our season is out in our part of the state. Down in the 50's.......boy.....we don't see that to often this time of year. We are going to have to head down to the eastern part of the state to get a little hunting in.
