Huron thanks. He gets gone and stays gone. Don't know what 'checking in' is. A little tight mouth on track have seen him just blow treed. Good steady chop on tree. Not real mouthy maybe 40 barks a minute. Not trashy so far seen ALOT of foxes last night he did'nt run one. Here is the little mutt and the hunt we had last night.......

Had a GREAT hunt tonight. My nephew who is 8 came to spend the day and night with us. Of course Uncle Skinner HAD to take him coonhunting. One of the best hunts I think I've had in a long time. He done great and even got to handle Highball some. I let him search the tree and he found his FIRST coon on his own without any help. He sure was proud and hugged my neck and said he had a great time. After the hunt we stopped by dads and he could'nt tell 'papa' fast enough about the coon he found. We really had a great time. You take a kid hunting and you'll see how much fun pleasure hunting really is.

Looks like a great hunt Skinner.About the only thing that would have made it better would have been for your nephew to have been able to roll it out.

Dave the pups are doing pretty good. Dunk has been hunted some here latley and am getting him ready for a good kill season. Suzie is doing fair but has'nt been hunted as much but plan to get her up and running. Will bring the old lady out and hunt them two together all this season. Mom and daughter. Suzie has that voice just like her mom. Maybe Sue can show her how to use it. Both are the right age to start crankin it up. Hi is doing good had a hurt front leg but is healing up. Skeet has doing good too. Been hunting Earl too he doing pretty good. Seems to be some coons this year hope they stick around till season opens which is right around the corner. Squirrel season opens this Sat. and have a hunt for Sat afternoon after work. Hanna had her pups one female and two males. Was hoping for a bigger litter. The males are some good looking little rascals good color like Hi has. Female looks a little rough but she is growing on me. One male is going to NC and the other here in TN. Wish she would have had more females. Most of the folks that called about a pup was from the area where she was from and they wanted females. How ya been fairing in the hunts?

SKINNER BEEN FAIRING PRETTY WELL IN THE HUNTS. FINISHED MY FEMALE TO NTCH IN 3 HUNTS 225+ 2ND, 225+ 2ND, AND 500+ 1ST. WE HAVE ALSO WON $300+ IN PKC IN THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS. MY DAD HAS BEEN HELPING ME KEEP HER HUNTED DOWN AND WE HAVE DECIDED TO HUNT HER ALL ALONE UNTIL NEXT SPRING AND THEN HIT THE HUNTS AGAIN. SHE HAS GOT TO PAYING TO MUCH ATTENTION TO THE OTHER DOGS AND I WANT HER MORE INDEPENDENT. I THINK A GUY COULD BUY STORM IF SOMEONE WANTS HIM THEY AREN'T GETTING TO HUNT HIM MUCH AT ALL AND HE NEEDS TO BE IN THE HUNTS. IF YOU KNOW OF ANYBODY INTERESTED LET ME KNOW. THIS PUP I HAVE OUT OF HIM AND GRNTCH LADY IS GOING TO MAKE A PRETTY NICE PUP. RUNNING AND TREEING AND HAS A NICE MOUTH.

I must say you ALL have some great looking hounds. I remember my first (and only) hunt with hounds (walkers), actualy scarred me when the dogs struck, thought they was being murdered, but that was like 6 years ago Id love to take up coon hunting and have been reading bout hounds on the net for a while now and think I may have finaly chosen a line. I also saw someone posting from Oklahoma wich was nice, even mentioned something about the town I live in (Tahlequah) so who knows maybe a pup aint that far out of the future for me. I realy enjoyed sitting here they last several hours reading all 23 pages of your post and viewing your photos ((&()#&%()#% dialup!!!) yall take care and keep the photo's coming, I liked them all!

Had a good hunt tonight. I hunted with a another Hammering Earl dog named 'Dandy'. Nice hound. Weather was great and had a really good time.

Well just thought I would stop in and drop a line to everybody. I wish I could have made it to Autumn Oaks, but just couldnt get away. We are down to a handful of dogs here at the house. I do have a super nice young pup out of Thunder and Fiddler's littermate sister Lily. We also have Mike's Big Kate(littermate to Alan Kalal's Destiny in the Wind gyp) female down here which we are hunting and hopefully put her last couple of wins to finish her out. We should be back up on the internet before long but I will check in from time to time until then.

Dang we FINALLY got into some coons tonight. Think they are moving later than usual. Last couple of nights been going about 8 and striking out. Went late tonight and treed three. Bout time. Believe it or not, it was kinda chilly out.
