Turkey Pups

Travis I took this shot of Bad News Brown last night. I thought it was a cool pic. He was balancing on a dead log while treeing. You know how much I like this guy. If he does what he did last night, he will be tuff to beat at any level. Won't be 2 till October.

Chris, he sure looks good stretched out on that tree! He comes from turkeys oldest litter and I know of several more that are younger than him and performing like ol bad news brown. Thanks for the update.

Bad News Brown picked up his first place last night at the NRCA Zone 7 hunt in Troy IA. Hope to finish him to NtCh tonight with a cast win.

Had a great hunt with some really good guys.

Brown turned 19mo old on Tuesday this week.

Last night I hunted with some of my favorite hunting buddies. Chris Siemens, Rob Farr and Russell Beck. The wind was something terrible but we found a couple hollers to turn loose in and had a great hunt. On the last drop, they treed in a den and we arrived just in time. The dogs were inches from a very young litter of coons. It was a lousy place to raise a litter so I hope they survive all the rain and predators. Thanks for coming up Rob and thanks for bringing Russell.

We had a great time Travis as usual. Turkey showed me again why he is one of the best dogs in the country getting out by hisself about a half mile with the coon. Impressive. Would you consider these kittens a layup? Lol...

Thanks Travis. Brown is just the first of many, many winners that is going to come out of Turkey. In my opinion, he will be a top stud in the breed in the years ahead. Keep up the good work with him producing pups that even a guy like me can win with.

Looking forward to making more titled Turkey offspring over the next few years. Next on deck is sitting in Ken's yard right now. "Insane Jane". LOL

Another Litter of Winners

These should be super nice. Can't wait to see my little project as well. Insane Jane will bring the pain.

It will be the absolute best time of year to start a pup. If she's anything like Brown I should be able to tree coons with her this fall at the ripe old age of 6-7 months.

I know there are three of these going local. All three guys will do a good job with the pups and do it right.

Congrats on your success with turkey. I've been watching to see how the crosses with t-top females turn out and they definitely seem to produce some nice ones. I've been burn out on raising pups for awhile now but at some point may raise another litter and turkey is on my list.....as well as bad news brown if Snyder decides to breed him at some point....lol.

Mike, thanks for your interest in turkey. I'm very fortunate to own and hunt a dog like him. So far, the t-top bred females have crossed really well on turkey. The oldest ones are 19 months and I believe the youngest (from t-top females) are 12 months old. If I can help with a future litter at some point, please let me know. Thanks again and look forward to meeting you some time.
