Really.....I know of 3.....maybe 4.......who would be the 5th? I guess if Jared gets to come that could be 5....and I think Amber is still kind of up in the air. we'll see.

Today, Keith came down and we did a drag for two haze females and a shadow/yank male. Boy...what a ruckus these three gave when they hit the tree. I was very impressed with Lacy and her track speed and locate. Ginnie, who is an older female that I just got from Dave Savage, she did a very nice job and treed her heart out.....but out of nowhere came...JO JO. He hit the tree after the other two but boy what a nice little tree dog.

We had a good time and I think Keith left fairly impressed with what he saw. It's always fun to see the training process first hand and to see the results of laying a good foundation.

What about Noah? Isn't Lucky out of Haze? Is he coming? If y'all weren't so mean, you could give him a ride.

Nationals

Looks like I'm going to give you guys a chance at nationals this year.
Boone and I will not attending Nationals this year. I have made other plans with the family over the fourth. Boone has seen a coon almost every day for a week now. The neighbors keep trapping them in there gardens and the coons keep showing up on my doorstep. He is really getting coon minded and ready to go. He is still young and hopefully will be more ready next year anyways.

Good luck to the rest of the Haze pups attending!

Thanks,

Well darn Jared, you are sure going to miss a good time. You could just bring the family with you for the fellowship supper and hunt Thursday night. There will be lots of "families" there. After all, we are just one big Redbone family. I don't think that Jason has any pictures. I bet he didn't even go hunting!

many thanks

P. Mike had a great time it was great to see the process in action , and for the opportunity to work lacey she is a fine hound I am very excited to get her she is definitely the total package probably one of if not the best put together female I've ever seen from her solid well built frame to her BOOMING mouth and not to mention that track speed . Looking foward to getting together for some hunts .

Hats off to you as well for the job you have done with hernie and moose , hernie looks great and the moose is looking a lot better as well " they are certainly in good hands

Jo Jo seems to be settling in I'm gonna keep him close a see that he gets a shot after what he did at the tree , he looked good

hey p.mike

Took lacey and fritz out for a quick hunt tonight , waited til dark and released a caged coon it a cut wheat field on this new farm , let it go about a hundred yards off the wood line waited about five minutes and drop about fifty yrds from track , 4 or 5 min from hiss to tree " lacey smoked fritz to the tree " she is insanely loud on a quiet dark night , no fear of the dark or Treeing at night , lots of praise on the tree - leaded her up- back in truck and came home , wanted to end on a positive note.

Got another new spot to hit tomorrow night " big timber and swamp " guy says he sees a lot of coon activity comin in and out in the evenings hoping Noah and April can make it either way gonna make a free cast with her ,we'll see how it goes

Sounds like another one out of Haze and Reba is coming along.

Yes. I hunt Reba for Roger. She has only had one litter. I had another littermate to them that died at 11 months old. She had treed 4 by herself for me before she died.

sorry I'm just getting on here guys.......took a bunch of our youth to carowinds yesterday.

Yes, Lacy is out of Haze and Reba. She is a good looking female that is put up right. She has a good foundation via Tom's program that I started with her back in late March. She came along fast. From the sound of it, she has now ran and treed her first coon on her first trip to the woods at night. Even though it was a turn loose coon, it sounds like she took the scent and ran it like a pro and obviously treed without seeing a cage......that's the way it's suppose to happen.

After a few of those Keith, I would suggest to do one by herself and see how she takes to it. I've got a feeling that she'll do it by herself just the same as the others.

I'm glad you have her with you Keith, enjoy the process and we'll help you any way that we can.

Well.....good luck with that... I don't know if anyone can handle four days with Richard....

We'll be there Thursday afternoon, probably between 12 and 2.

i thought all good coon hunters carried bolt cutters, axes, chainsaws, shovels, a pick ax, rope, matches and above all a cell phone to call someone to bail them out?

David

Posted by Richard Lambert on 06-24-2011 03:01 PM:

SuperDave, you have been hunting with Bond way too much. He is the only guy that I know that has a chainsaw with a silencer on it. Matches?? Y'all haven't been hunting in Arizona have you? And I have to carry enough money to bail myself out. I don't have any friends to call. These are the days of high tech coon hunting. You also need a Tom Tom to get you to the "honey holes" and a Garmin to get you back to the truck. I can hunt all over the country now. All I need is gas money. I called Obama yesterday and he said that he would take care of the gas. Mark, mapquest says 10 hrs. If I leave at about 9 AM, I should get there at about 7 PM. Don is for sure bringing a real coondog but we will be by ourselves Mon night!

Posted by wbond on 06-24-2011 04:20 PM:

Richard it was Super Dave's saw I only borrowed it you see the list of material he had listed what an outlaw me I am a law abbidding citazen fire what fire I only know one man who set the mountain on fire smoking a coon out of a den tire and I am not talking just in case the statue of limitaions is not up I would not want to see Super Dave go to jail
