we cant start hunting in illinois until tomorrow.we cant hunt in wisconin until our season starts.I have not missed Jasons hunt in five years.I told Jason next year make it where we can make it.Jamie and I thought it was next week.

Jay tonite was bad and good. The good was Slinger took a bad track and smoked it.The pup went with him and openen up on track and was at the tree. When Jamie and I got to the tree the pup was smeeling up and we found the coon.We shot it out about 25# lbs,the pup grabbed ahold of the coon while Slinger worked on the head, way more alive than I wanted in the process trying to get BIG Dummy off of it the coon managed to bite into a vessel in Slingers lip and blood was spraying everywhere so that ended opening night.I got Andrea over to stich it up.It was funny watching Logan trying to get Slinger off the coon.I never heard Logan breath so hard.LOL.Logan is very rusty....

Maybe that will smarten' the big block head up some on a coon! All with time with Mr. Logan, all with time. Would of paid to see it though. You know how those 2 have a love-hate relationship.

You ain't referring to Junior are ya Leroy? He wins about as much Elliot Sadler. You would go in debt betting on that guy. Uncle Rico you had better get a hammer and nail down Ol Leroy.

I'm picking FSU over UF this weekend. Happy Thanksgiving by the way.

Heckler I'm a FL state fan. How have you been? The weather been great here. I'm ready for deer hunting to get over we have been picking the open nights for coon hunting when deer hunting isn't going on next Sunday we will have it wide open for any night.

Posted by heckler on 11-23-2012 06:53 AM:

Can't complain Leroy, things have been ok for the most part. Deer season is open for the next few days. Maybe the Noles will come to play Saturday, I sure hope they win. I can't get into NASCAR and 4 left turns. It changed too much for me. I raised 7 pups out of 9, and I mean I raised them. Mastitus is a nasty thing to deal with. The weather has been great.

Posted by slinger1 on 11-23-2012 11:32 PM:

I'm glad your doing good. I've had the fun of raising a couple litters not much fun. We went from 62 degrees to 32 and 45 mph. Within 12 hours pretty much stinks for hunting tonight. Treed about 25 since season open nov. 5th only shot out 5 a little slow for now.

Posted by heckler on 11-24-2012 04:00 PM:

I hunted last Saturday morning by myself with 4 dogs. My 2 females treed on a Juniper tree with a squirrel nest on one side of Blackwater River and the 2 males treed on an oak with a squirrel nest on the other side of the river. I headed home after that. I went last night for a couple hours with 2 dogs. The male struck out of the box and I dumped him and a female. He never said a word till he treed about a hundred yards. That dog left like his butt was on fire. Another squirrel nest in an oak tree on the side of a steep banked branch. I leashed up took two steps and slipped and landed on a root right on my ribs in the back. It took me a couple minutes to get up and get going. I turned out one more time and he farted around on an old track for a bout 30 minutes and slick treed. The moon was full and I don't like full moon nights. No excuses, but I expect things like that when I haven't been hunting consistently. It's supposed to be down in the upper 20's tonight.

Posted by slinger1 on 11-25-2012 05:57 PM:

It sounds like your hard at it. Last night I turned loose twice 2 dens the pup is trying though he still has always to go. The weather here is mid 30's during day and 20's at night after next Sunday the deer crap will be done and I hope to get out more before snow flys....

You at least got that Kiss x Slinger male up on the bench a little bit so I don't have my hands that full come this spring?
