Had a good female that came from Dennis Roberson's kennel a few years back. Grch.Grntch. Dark Mtn Crankin Streak at 18 mo. A natural coon dog for sure ! :-)

There is a Haze pup out there that is really doing a nice job. He is singled out and hunting in some tough conditions and getting it done. Gets gone, gets struck and gets treed.

There is also a pup out of Chick and Rocky that is stating to make a show. At least I heard there was one. Got to love these running boars that are on the prowl. Had a great track in the snow last night.

Running boars in the snow again last night. Gotta love these long tracks and listening to them get close and pushing them at the end. There is no doubt when they hit a tree.

Went to national forest last night, made two drops and nothing moving. Frog and Stella hunted good. Still a lot of snow there. Saw one other hunter and he was rigging and road hunting. Gonna be 50 degrees today and 60 over the next couple so hopefully the snow will be melting quickly.

I took Hazel out and treed another last night it was a big hollow maple she ran it about a mile down a frozen river from the apple orchards and treed she has a real good nose and the track moving ability to match she could do a little better with hot tracks but Im sure she will figure it out.She got over the fear she got when she got quilled by a porky she hunts out fast and hard again she is rite back on track.
The boars must be rutting here to that would explain those 2 long chases last night. Either way its fun and impressive to see dogs tree coon in New England the end of January. Its even better considering they were set up for about a month do to the cold and coon not moving

All right, the Winter Classic is over. It is time to start making plans for Southern Redbone Days. There are only 3 more weeks to get those young dogs ready. Who all is going and what are y'all going to hunt. I guess that we need to get a list going. Who needs a handler and who needs a dog to hunt? Carlos, are you going and if so, who are you going to hunt? What about Buck? Has anyone seen/talked to him? What about Linkous? Pastor Mike, is Stella ready? What about BB? Is he coonhunting or hog hunting? Is The Storm ready to blow into town yet or is she just a lot of hot air? Will Shannon be there with his Haze pup?
