Miserable weather is not the word for it. This old man found out that putting up square bales in 95 degree and 90% humidity isn't what it used to be.

Turkey x Queen Pup

Georgia is doing a great job here running loose and learning how to be a dog.

She seems very smart. Well mannered and learns quick what she can do and what she can't. She reminds me a lot of Brown in the fact that she doesn't act all puppy stupid. Just seems older than she is.

These are four months tomorrow. Time to start getting to work.

Chris, that's good to hear about your pup. I started working Axle (littermate) with a rope on coming to me, etc. If you need any 2ft long pieces of rope, let me know because this litter monster can provide it. Lol.

Turkey/queen

My pup ( flashy ) has been treeing a little on a hide, she hasn't accepted the Leash yet, she's a Tasmanian devil, very energetic.! I've been working way to much lately, but hope to post a video of her soon.

Emma is looking like she is getting it. That is awesome.

Have started tuning up Brown for the state pup futurity and took little Georgia Chrome with him last night. She is not afraid of the dark, and was running all around the tree with her nose all over the place. Very good acting and no fear.

The leash training however was not a huge success. lol

Due to the brutal heat and a rough work schedule I haven't hunted much since American Redbone Days. We're now back in the woods to get ready for zones in September. There are several nice turkey pups out there this summer and 2 litters coming soon.

Turkey Pup

My latest pup off Turkey and Queen is showing some signs. She is five months old and will go the distance to the tree with the old dog. Last time out she went 600+ with the lead dog and never checked back in.

At the tree she is all over the place with her nose on the ground and sniffing and yipping. Just hasn't flipped the switch just yet but I have a feeling it isn't too far away.

Its fun working with pups that give you the effort.

Turkey and I did what we could at the zones last weekend. I was extremely happy with his performance. 6 split trees in 2 nights and won his cast on Saturday night but didn't score high enough to advance. I drew out with good dogs and good people both nights so it was a good weekend. Congratulations to all of the winners. Turkey and I will try again next year.

This is Turkey and his 12 month old daughter Crooked river red Ruby. They had a double on this drop and had 4 in the next drop. Ruby is out of Nt Ch Jim's Red Amber

That's a good looking pup. I tried taking a picture of him a couple of weeks ago tied out, but they all looked blurry cause he wouldn't stop moving. lol

Yep... that pups a looker, my pup is the same way , always moving.. very hard to get pictures of. We're finally starting to get cooler temps here. It won't be long before flashy sees her first live Coon.

Received this video of a 12wk old Turkey pup getting after a coon. He's out of an open registered female out of gr nt ch paradise buddy and a nt ch off of gr nt ch hillbilly jabo. There are a couple pups still available from this cross.

Sweet Georgia Chrome

I'm going to have to go and get a Bluetick pup. It's the only way I'm going to remember what a pain it used to be to start pups. These ones off Turkey start quick and are smart.

You show them something once or twice and they get it. I love that. They listen good and are smart.

Plus I think maybe she might just be a tree dog.
