I stopped by Bill's to see ole Magic and he is fat and enjoying the sun. Bill feeds his dogs well. He has four old dogs over 11 years old looking good. So whatever feed he is feeding them I may have to get some for a long life span for sure. He has four up and coming blues that look like hounds and sound like a hound. There is plenty Breathless Blue blood on his place and looks to be more from the females I saw. Time will tell. Keep them cool Bill and keep me posted when pups are born.

I'm hoping the females Magic bred pup. Time is getting closer. Him being 12 doesn't help but I'm hopeful

No pups from either female. Bill is going to get him checked soon. Well he has two sons Mystic and Buck to carry on the gene pool.

Snake and Rose are hunting deep but not getting much done yet. Time will tell. Weather is changing and I need to be patient and get them in the woods with older seasoned dogs and she if I can get them turning the crank.

Julia goes back to Grnt Breathless Blue Chief and Dual grand Utchman So Blue Timber.
She just turned a year old huge mouth but green so we shall see.

Julia looks to be a chip off the old blocks

First time in the woods at night. She ran and treed at .85 but of course I couldn't get to her but it's a start. Her and Snake finally came in. Then they went 1.7 according to Garmin treed. I waited a few hours before they came back to the truck.
I can personally say I have hunted with 10 of the 14 dogs in her 3 generation pedigree. So I know what she should be capable of.

I see now I'm going to have to separate Julia and Snake from hunting together. They go way to hard and neither one knows exactly what they are looking for. Last night they covered 1.9 miles deep before deciding to come in. They did this the other night as well. I was hoping they would run across Mr Bandit and catch him slipping on the ground looking for food.
If Julia takes after her great grand pa Chief I'm going to have to learn how to walk if she gets wooded. Time will tell.

Elmo glad to hear that Julia is working out for you. I just try to bred what I like in a coon dog. I like for the some same thing as my old Angle female that my be why I have a lot of the blood line you and Dall started.

I was like 65% but I figure if I don't try then I won't get anything. So I can only hope.
In the future there is still Magic's son's Mystic and Buck. I want to breed to the tree stump instead of the limb at this point. Even if she has one or two I will be super happy. For now it is what it is.
