Complete Confidence in the Lord

Hello All I hope yer havin a good week .Lets get on to todays messageComplete Confidence in the Lord

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” - Proverbs 3:5-6

There must be complete confidence in the Lord to take care of us because this complete confidence will lead to constant compliance. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us we are to trust with all our heart (not just part of it), and we’re to acknowledge Him in all our ways (not just some of our ways).

God won’t take part of it. You can’t say, “Lord, I want Your will in my social life, but I don’t want Your will in my business life.” Or, “I want Your will in my church life, but I don’t want Your will in my relationships.” You just can’t do that. If He’s worth part of it He’s worth all of it.

The Ultimate Act of Forgivness

Good Mornin. The river is still riseing very slowly,Im ready for it to stop. My ole garden is lookin good tomtoes arent to far away. Lets go with todays message The Ultimate Act of Forgiveness

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.” - 1 Peter 3:18

Suppose someone were to punch you in the nose? And suppose in an act of compassion you were to say to that person who punched you, “I forgive you.” And suppose they responded, “There’s no need for you to forgive me. I’ve already forgiven myself.” You’d feel a little cheated. Only the one who was punched can forgive the hitter.

Sin is a clenched fist in the face of God, and only God can forgive sin. There’s enough Gospel dynamite in 1 Peter 3:18 to blow the sin, the hatred, the sorrow, and the sickness out of anybody’s life, but that dynamite must be ignited by the spark of faith.

Is there someone in your life you need to forgive? Maybe someone from whom you need to ask forgiveness? Go do it now. Tomorrow may never come. It would be pretty tough for me to just step back if someone punched me in the nose.I think I would retaliate with a punch back ,,Then forgive them. Gods Provision in the Midst of Suffering

Its Friday ,Its flooding bad here in the bottoms the water has got about 200 acres of corn so far .and theres lots more water comin down the river and its still raining.Theres nothin we can do about it and I dont worry about it. The Good LORD will take care of my problems. Lets get on to Fridays message God’s Provision in the Midst of Suffering

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.” - Revelation 3:20

Over and over again, people will ask me this question, “If there is a God, why is there so much suffering?” There’s never an easy answer to that question when someone is grieving or suffering, but God has taught me that the universe has a disease. And God cannot remove the pain until the last vestige of sin is gone. The worst thing that could happen to human beings would be for us to live in a world cursed by sin, and yet the world seem to be a paradise. We would never come to God. First Peter 2:11 says that we are aliens and strangers in this world. We are in the world, but we are not of the world. We are twice-born in a world of once-born people, and we’re going to find ourselves going against the tide most of the time.

It’s like a deep sea diver who is underwater and outside his natural environment. He could not live if he weren’t linked to his life supply above. That’s the way we need to live. If we are to survive, we must stay linked to Jesus who is our life.

The Bible says we’re not to set our affections on things beneath, but on things above where Christ sits at the right hand of the Father. (Colossians 3:1)

Hello Everyone ! Frontier Communications finaly got my computer back to working .It was out for 2 weeks due to the flooding and high water they couldnt get to the places they needed to work on them.The water has went down 6 feet,But there saying that its gona come back up to where it was due to heavy rains up in Iowa ...O well ya gota love the riverbottoms to live in them and expect floods each year just like our past family has for the last 100 years .Lets get to todays message ,Its a good informative message...... Sometimes I have people ask me ,"Ron “Do you think a Jew without Jesus is lost?” If I say, “Yes,” In some peoples eyes I will look like a racist or a bigot. If I say, “No,” then, I have dishonored the Lord Jesus Christ who died for the sins of all people. So, how do I answer? Anyone No matter what color, What religion No matter if you dont have JESUS CHRIST Your LOST !

I say, “Friend, I believe that one of my own children without Jesus would be lost. It doesn’t matter whether he’s a Jew or a Gentile. You see, God demands absolute perfection and none of us can provide it. That’s why we need the gospel. We need Jesus. We need the righteousness of God that comes by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Does Baptism Gget You To Heaven ?

Good Mornin ! Its pretty warm here in the bottoms this mornin .Im gona get my chores done then jump in the pool till time to go to work. Keep cool and may the Good LORD bless you with a awsome week. Lets get to todays message. Does Baptism get you into Heaven?

We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:4

In the history of Christianity, one of the most contentious issues has been the role of baptism in the Christian life. Some use certain Bible verses to promote the idea that baptism is necessary for salvation. Others see it as a command, but not necessary to go to heaven. So what’s the answer?

Well, for one, the Bible is clear in its teachings that salvation is by grace through faith, not works (Ephesians 2:8-9). So if baptism was a requirement for heaven, then salvation wouldn’t be through faith. And second, just because you’re baptized, it doesn’t mean you’re saved by faith.

The best analogy I’ve heard related to baptism is a wedding ring. I wear my ring every day as a display of my commitment to my wife. But if I take it off to do some really dirty work, I’m no less married than when I had it on.

Baptism is a command, but it’s commanded as a public proclamation of your relationship with Jesus Christ. It doesn’t save you, but it’s not to be neglected either. So if you haven’t been baptized as a public display of your salvation, I encourage you to do it. Follow the biblical command of baptism and proudly display your wedding ring of faith to the world!

If the devil doesn’t bother you, it’s because he doesn’t have to bother you since you and he are traveling in the same direction. If you turned around, you’d have a collision with him. Right now, you are in collusion with him.

The Fire Of Affliction

Here It Is Friday ! These weeks are flyin .The year is half over.I sure wish it would slow down. Heres todays message The Fire of Affliction

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” - Romans 8:18

God wants to build spiritual steel and rock-solid faith into you. And the way He will do this is through the fire of affliction. Why? To test you. The faith that can’t be tested, can’t be trusted.

The times I have grown the most were not when everything was going fine. The times when we go through sorrow, pressure, and trouble are the growing pains of our lives with Christ. Isn’t that true? Someone wrote these lines,

“I walked a mile with pleasure, she chatted all the way.
But left me none the wiser, for all she had to say.
I walked a mile with sorrow and not a word said she.
But oh the things I learned from her, when sorrow walked with me.”

Are you in the fire of affliction? Trust that He will see you through and make you stronger when the test is over. Mountains Need Moving !

Good Mornin ! What a nice day here in The Riverbottoms. I sat on my deck this mornin at day light and man I could see everyone of GODs Creations,The birds were singin, A moma and daddy goose and about 10 little ones was swimin around in the flood waters just in front of my barn,The ole rooster is realy crowin this mornin ,I havent seen the ole guy this happy in a long time. The cats and kittens were runnin around chasin each other. I could feel GODS presence sitin there beside me..Lets go on to todays message--- Mountains Need Moving
