It's been a blurr since Walker Days with work and all, but we had a blast up there and already looking forward to next year.

Thursday night was awesome, I was tagging along with and spectating, Chuck Shcmershal. They called the cast out and he ended up drawing out with the one and only, John Monroe! Two Walker Legends in the same cast, it was sight!! We had an awesome cast, treed 6 coon, had some of the best sportsmanship you could ask for and plenty of cuttin up. I'll never forget it and was glad I got to be there to see it.

Then Kharter got to try out the show ring for the first time, and I believe she's hooked!! She's got her little trophy proudly displayed on her dresser. It made her whole day, mommy and daddy was proud of her. Thanks to the couple that let Kharter use their dog, none of ours would have help still long enough lol.

Thanks Mike and Simon, I'm liking him pretty good so far. He's got a lot goin for him, he's the kind you just have to show him once not to do something and he's good to go. Right now he gets bogged down on some tracks, but I've been hunting him solely alone and making him figure them out on his own. Afew nights it's been painful but afew he's made me walk outta the woods with my chest poked out lol.

Roy, thanks ol buddy lol. They been getting all they can from me here lately, the last few months has been crazy between storms and picking up service watch for guys off for surgeries. We have a list and I'm at a hair over 600 hrs of just overtime so far this year, some guys love it but that's not at all where I like to be on that list, and some guys have even more than I do!! Idk what's wrong with them, they need a hobby 😂😂. I'm call the next 3 outta 4 weeks, but should be a good slow down after that, (fingers crossed). Can't wait to have you all out to hunt, and bring the old man Doug with you 👍. I'll tell the wife n kids you said Hi.

Mike, as you can tell Trigger ain't seen much woods time the last 2 months, and it's about made me sick to see him sit. I'd planned on sending him somewhere but just couldn't get it worked out. I did get to go the other night for the first time in about a a month and a half. We took Joe, Gun and Trigger. We looked at 6 coon. Trigger backed Joe on the first drop on a coon, but wasn't far behind Joe. Then the last drop trigger split from Joe and both had coon. He turns a year old the end of this month, he still needs work but had been as natural as anything, if I don't spoil him from setting up from my work load, I just may have something this kill season.

AUTUMN OAKS IS ALMOST HERE!!!! This is one of, if not, my most favorite week of the year. Can't wait to see old friends and maybe some new. Hopefully see some more them Janey pups getting their pictures took. Can't wait !!

Another Oaks is in the books and it's another year of good memories and a week solid of all night coondoggin, but was different this year for me as work had me so busy before hand I didn't even enter a dog and decided to just be a tag along this year. All in all it was just as fun either way. I did handle Randy Holcomb's (my wife's uncles) dog in the Slam hunt Thursday night and she got us in the $$ by treeing 2 coon in the hour hunt. I also got to guide a Grand 16 cast, where GRNITECH Feelin Big won that, then got to go along on the final 4 cast as score keeper and time keeper, that was a blast and got to see the National Ch crowned live right there in the timber!! Congrats to all those that won, and to all those that didn't I'll be right there with u next year, lord willing, tryin my luck!!
