Been talking to a nice man with some very nice gyps about getting them breed. Both gyps are heavy jet-hammer breed which has crossed really good with him so far. Thanks Dan Hoffman for the recommendations.

going to start hunting the ole Crocket to get him in better shape for Autumn Oaks. poor fellar has been sick and only gets to hunt when a hunt is available so i'm going to try and help him by getting him in shape and hope the Ehrlichia don't get the best of him. dang tick diseases are bad in Oklahoma.

Been getting calls and folks asking about what kind of dog Crocket is so I will give a short description. 1st and 1st type dog. Honest strike dog, smoking fast track dog, good locater, and trees with a steady chop with an occasional bawl. More important than how he operates is what I have seen dominate in his pups. Track speed, loud, very independent, heads up winding type hard tree dogs. I can tell these things to folks but its better to come see it for yourself. He is producing the kind that anyone would be happy with. He isnt perfect but ive never seen one that was.

Took Crocket tonight. Made 1 cut loose he got deep in a hurry struck a bad track worked it out and got treed with the meat. He did a real nice job on that coon. If I didnt have to work and that kid didnt have drivers education in the morning we would have cut loose again.

Old feller looked great last night. Cut loose 3 times treed 3 times seen 2. Been hunting his pups and forgot how nice a dog he realy is. Hoping to get him condition for autumn oaks. The last 2 years I really hsvent had him conditioned in hunting shape but he has still done well. Love our Crocket!

Took Crocket and Sparky out for sone more exercise. Made 4 trees seen 3 coons and 1 slick tree. No questions about that slick sucker lol small tree on the bank of the creek. Ended up being a treeing contest between the 2 dogs. Last cut loose was my favorite though. Long good moving track that ended with 2 looking down.

getting a dog in the shape they need to be in and keeping them their is hard on a working man with pups he would like to be hunting making a drop or 2 don't cut it. I've been making 5 or 6 each night and drinking coffee all day to stay awake lol

Had another great hunt tonight. Cut loose 3 tomes made 3 trees seen 1 coon. No way to find the other 2 so we didnt spend much time looking either. Poor fellar is as fat as me lol

You know they are getting in better shape when you try to come home and the dog still wants to go. Great night tonight but im worn out. Made 2 drops treed twice seen 2 coon. Pat on the head and headed home.

After moving my daughter back in college yesterday I can hardly even walk. 30 trips up 3 flights of stairs got me lol. Its not Crocket that needs to get in shape its me.
