so what makes an animal big game? (other than your say so)

Never said deer were'nt big game Im saying running the with dogs, isnt biggame hunting with hounds to different things.
when you can show me a deer or a yote that can send half or more of the pack to the vet or the grave yard then I'll reconsider my opinion.

I get the point some of you want to see everybreed and every game animal included here I dont and have voiced that opinion as have you. But look at what has happened to full cry(which has already been pointed out) and some other boards that include everything under the sun. And let me point out again on the index page for these boards it says"UKC Big Game Hunting
A place to hang out for folks who hunt big game with hounds."
not pits poodles mutts terriers but HOUNDS.

A place to hang out for people who hunt big game with hounds"

I say start at the beginning of this post and read every response and see how stupid this has evolved into. The anti's love this bickering(take it from a guy who lives in a state where we have all the big game, except hogs, and the only thing left legal is coon hunting).I say if ya don't like reading about deer dogs or hog dogs or coyote dogs do as I do,take your mouse move the curser up where it says back and left click it and choose another topic.Man Todd you opened up a good one.First single registration now this LOL

NOPE it wont. Her thread wasnt even about running deer dogs it was about "name my dogs" If you cant name a dog why get it? And if she thinks that was rude sure hope no one looks at her wrong.I was direct and to the point nothing more or less.

And no I do not consider running deer and yotes with hounds big game hunting.Do I have anything against it? NO!My opinion and Im entitled to it.If Todd and UKC decides those types of dogs are to be allowed here fine. Will I then consider them big game dogs,NO.

so telling me "any mutt off the street could run a deer" isnt rude? thats not putting my dogs and what i do with them down? "if you cant name a dog why get it?" and implying that im stupid now? i never said one negitive thing about you, bear bobcat or lion hunting, or the hounds you (or anyone else) run em with but you take it upon yourself to say mine are worthless because you dont like deer dogs or maybe its just me?... you have every right to your opinion- but being a moderator on a public forum i would think you wouldnt (or shouldnt atleast) put people down over their opinion or what they do. my gripe isnt about my dogs being posted or not on the Big Game Forum, wheather or not deer dogging is big game hunting, or anything like that- its the way you chose to tell me that my post was in the wrong section, and not to post about deer dogs in that section. being a moderator shouldnt you conduct yourself in a way that reflects respect twards the board members/fellow hunters? im sure you wouldnt want to be treated that way, so why treat others that way? i expect negitive responces from other members but i dont expect a moderator to...

Lets if I can list the new rules so everyone is on the same page:

1 Its got to be a dog killer or it aint big game!!!!!!

2 Its got to be hound.

3 Its got to climb a tree to be big game.

4 And last but not least, no dog naming post.

Did I miss any ??????????

Are grade dogs acceptable? Someone said earlier the should be UKC registered.

Wow, this is getting kinda sensitive. I think it was Travis that suggested above that this is what the anti's like to see. I have no doubt we will all stick together in times of need but you can see how passionate everyone is about their particular area of interest. As it should be I guess, nothing wrong with that.

I think we have enough feedback now so I'll go ahead and close this one. Thanks everyone for responding.
