You hunting hard ??? You go lastnight ??? Wayne & I went lastnight & treed 2 singles & Nut treed a double & back home before 10:30 & we didn't get started until just after 8:00 They were flat moving lastnight for sure. Waynes treed the far out of coon the last 3 nights. Old Nut was split about 200 feet from Waynes females on their second coon. He took one & put it in the ground & then struck another & ran it up the same hollow & treed the double. He's starting to get it together, but man he's going to be independent for sure. Jamie said your Mojo female was doing pretty good.

yeah we went last night we made 3 dens 2 slicks and 1 coon first drop we had a 3 way split my buddy john was hunting his walker male dog cyrus he had a den and chad his harry seman female whitey had a den and my mojo female sally was treed slick and my jess pup jane she was there but wasnt treeing and the second drop sally whitey and jane hunted about 25 mins and didnt strike a track they came back in and cyrus got treed and had a slick 3rd drop they all got in there together and treed a den and the 4th drop sally and whitey went right and cyrus and jane went left and sally and whitey came back in and cyrus and jane went .83 of a mile and got treed and had the bacon i was really proud of my jess pup it was just her 4th night in the woods and she done a good job to be 7 1/2 months old we will have to get together and hunt one night

We'll give it a try one night. I hope she turns out good. I bet she's kind of firey ain't she ??? She should turn out if a person hunts her with good clean stuff & gives her time to learn.If she turns out like old mama she should have plenty of independence after she get's started a little. Jess was so independent that she never treed until she treed her own coon, but she was 7&1/2 months old when she split her first time too & I didn't start hunting her until she turned 7 months old to begin with so that only like 2 weeks when you think about it but seemed longer when you just know their gonna do it pretty quickly. lol She was quite awhile before she'd tree with others any at all & I honestly don't think she ever would have if I hadn't have purposely put her in the situation to where there was only 1 coon so she would back if needed. I think that turned out just right as I think if there's only 1 coon they need to back if they don't tree first & if more than 1 I want them getting to themselves. She was very young for the way I hunted her so hard & a lot can't take everynight hunting at that age, but man I put a lot of time in on her right by herself just making her use her own head & she definitley does lol I can't wait to see some more of her pups in action as we're seeing she definitley does her part in that department too.

yeah all of them pups out of jess are showing a lot of potential and will make coon dogs if they are giving the chance we went again last night and made 2 drops treed a coon the first and a den on the second and jane was in there every step of the way she treed first on the den i was really proud of her and i cant wait to see how she finishes out

Sounds like she's starting to get the hang of it. Don't believe she'll have a problem getting split at all either. One thing about it the weathers getting ready to break before long & that will make it better all the way around for pups. We'll be hunting this male a lot by himself i'd say. He's got plenty of independence, but I like to do it just to make them get a handle on it alone. Makes better coondogs all the way around, plus helps me judge them too as they have to hunt alone for me to put much time into. Probably not a big thing for most, but something I've really came to like over the years & do to everything I keep & hunt. I've saw dogs that people say they know theirs will hunt alone since they supposedly split a lot that won't hunt a step when turned loose alone & it will bite you in the butt in a hunt if your the only one left or if someone's looking at breeding to a dog & you can't blame them a bit if you can't show them a dog that can do it alone or with their best too.
