I have blue. Red tri. Red white blue. I bought one to cross on my dogs but rest I trained . I think if you train them no matter the color u think more of them. That being said I am waiting on you Mr Claude to answer all threads mine and Mr cranes. Can't wait

Blue Studs

I guess I will put in my two cents... I have offered Red and White Redtick and Bluetick studs I have recieved more phone calls over the Red and White stud then any. I just recently had a full litter of blue pups I had some guys not take thier requested pup due to color but I still had enough interest that other guys took blues. I do feel as though the Blue English are starting to become more requested as they have in the past. I know of several breeders that used to cull the blues at birth myself included. Back several years ago a guy wanted a blue male and female if I was to have any and I did and the guy never came and got them I ended up giving them away the female made an excellent hound and the male didn't. I have since became partial to the blues... For me it seems they have colder noses in which I feel the redticks have lost. But it all boils down to personal preferences. That why we all don't drive chevy's. I currenty own blues red and white and redticks and am looking to have the ultime tri-color. I think this thread is geeting took the wrong way. I amy not agree 100% with Richard Moore but he has done more then his share for the breed. How many English hounds can you get that donn't go back to his line? His line shows in more pedigrees then any other. We all have the same option when it comes to buying a hound and it is enterly our choice in doing so. I am not her to take sides it is just how I feel about the subject. My hats off to Mr. Moore he has made great choice in keeping his line strong and in my opinion that is his privelage. I wish I had a 1/3 of his knowledge... That's all for me...

thanks men for all the kind words and opions there is no dougt that with out the blue english we wouldnt be were we are.nothing against anyones blood line but no one is the only game in town. like i said i dont care who he breeds to thats his business but he still hadnt said they was and are some great blue ones in the pen and in the winners cicle.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa can somebody please show me how I could ever make any money on a dog!!!!???????? Been a lot of mention of people breeding for money I have not bred many and not sure it's really for me but I know this if you are trying to make money in this game u are screwed

Boys, some of you don't know English dogs very well. The English Association just elected Grand Night Champion Rocky Run Blue Terry to the English Hall of Fame. He was on the Reproducers List for a long time. I got some blue pups when I bred a very strong redtick bred female to his son, Grand Nite Champion Rocky Run Bo, who is on the current Reproducer's List. If you want blue pups, breed to Bo.

As for making money on dogs, you are doing real well to break even, most folks don't do that.

Previously I had a very good pick from a litter out of top gun and Martin Clemens summer breeze female . I could have gotten any color I wanted....... I chose the bluest female in the litter and I'm VERY PLEASED with how she is doing. I didn't take what was left ......she is what I wanted and I could not be more pleased.............I guess I'm one of the few that likes blue pups......I dang sure wouldn't trade her for a red one.........

WE have a female that has more JR in her than Jr had himself,she is blue,if anybody has a dog that can stay up with her I'll breed to him or buy her.All you will have to do is come to Alabama and get you some.

she is Jr bred with with Kenneth Thrasher stuff in her,she is one of the best track around in this country she will put a coon out of cut-over faster than any dog I have ever hunted.not many can stay with her.She is just 2 yrs old.
