Healing time 10 weeks

Looks like I can be truck man for a while! Must wear a boot for at least 4 weeks. Then start the recovery process.

Maggie is due this week

My progress for healing my calf is going to be slow going. All I can be is truck man. Walking is out of the question.
Coon season starts midnight Nov 14th. This sucks

pups doing well only 4 but that is better than none. I hope all 4 make it. She started with 9 3 females and 2 males didn't make it. Not sure what the live ones are

I'll start hunting Magic and Sounder once I'm able to walk to the trees. Might be a few more weeks. I'm getting better daily but not there yet and don't want to hurt and tear my calf more so I will wait it out

Another Knight dog makes Dual Grand

Michael Ford sent me a message and said his Zeke male got a Nite champion when which he thinks should finish him to Dual Grand He as a powerful mouth like his daddy BluKnight. He sounds just like his sire and very easy to hear. Michael says he the loudest dog in Alabama!

Zeke is a half brother to Magic. There is another littermate to him with 4 wins as well.

I was a little nervous because I'm not healed up but I wanted to test the water. Took my time to the tree and Lumber treed a cold track with the meat.

I have this dog to train and get ready for the hunts so pain or not I have got to give him a chance to finish into what I think will be a good one. Time will tell.
So far Lumber is very accurate and seems to have good track speed and quick locator. Of course that could change.

I have no choice but to be safe. I'm going to go as much as my leg will let me without rushing to dogs are jumping anymore ditches for sure. I must walk with caution for sure. Calf still hurts but it is getting better.

Three singles tonight

Hunted with Earl and Terry. We got great dog work tonight. Lumber Spud and Boomer did outstanding on the coons. 24 degrees windy but coons were running. Blue dogs looked and sounded like hounds are suppose to look.

I have got to start taking MAGIC AND Sounder her for too long. I think they are getting pissed at me Lumber is getting all the reps.
I hurt my leg again last night but it's doing better this morning. I need to still be careful when walking to trees for sure.

I have not hunted Magic all coon season because I'm work Lumber as much as possible. Sounder also has only be turned loose once.
But I'm willing to show them anytime. Doesn't matter to me. I expect them to tree coons no matter how long they sit in the pen.

Not feeling like hunting is the crusty snow. Breaking through and walking is no fun and to had my hurt calf it is not going to happen. I'll go to a movie instead.

I will take Magic for the first time this coon season and let him stretch his legs a little. He is going to be gear up from sitting all season. Boy that moon in bright but coons are moving fine.

Way to wet and slick on the bluffs to be chasing this dog that wants to get treed before you can get your hands on him. We treed 3 coon in one tree and Magic was way off split but no coon seen. Called it a night.
Spud and the Hawk II young dog looked good on the coons
