Well, by the looks of things on the board, I must have been the only one to lose a cast over the weekend. I made one bad call and it cost me a cast win and what would have been a first place. I think I'm figuring out that I'm just a bad handler. .

Bond, Lil Reba came in 2nd in her cast at the Plott Sectional. She got "out of pocket". I found her 1.5 mi across 2 ridges, treed in a hole. Blake Wheeler and Winnie came in 2nd in their cast at an RQE down in Roberta, Ga. She had first and second on 2 coons and then went 900 yds by herself and got out of hearing. She had a coon but they called time out to find her. Then she had another first and first on a den. But no one bothered to congratulate us.

Congratulations P Mike, you sure can't win if you don't show up. Maybe you need to do like Bond and just become a pleasure hunter. You could just talk about the dogs that you used to have.

Yep pleasure hunter that's me I like treeing them Rickey's and I am about ready to break one out to hit the hunts but it's just some ole Holstein she is a whiskey nightmare

Richard I must have been wrong on my score because I got 3rd on my cast. I had second and me and another guy split for second tree on one coon and I had 3 and 3 on the other. I thought I had 2 & 2 on the last one but the other guy struck and treed his dog before me. Then she split off from the other dogs around 7 or 800 yards from the others and was treed with the meat but we called time out because the other 2 dogs were 900 yards one way and she was 7 or 800 yards the other way treed. Then she got a first and first on a den tree. I honestly didn't even look at the scorecard when I signed it. I ended up with something like 237 plus. I know I had a blast. This was my first ukc nite hunt but defiantly wont be my last. We have 4 hunts around her in april and may that I plan on hunting in.

Glad to hear that you got your hands on Winnie. I hunted her here at my place since Feb and she made good progress. I think you will like her. She is a quick strike dog and a hard tree dog.

I have been very happy with her. When we were on the way to the next turn out I told my buddy she needed to split off and go tree a coon by herself and she did just that. I know she hunts way harder now than she did the week I had her. I plan on entering her in every hunt I can.

Well Richard finally got Buck out but he laughed at my little red dog only five Rickey's tonight so we were a little off but this time of year it's all in knowing were to turn loose at but dang if the dogs didn't look good

I guess that we have a new member of the Va Cartel now, Welcome Blake. It sounds like the Cartel was out in force last night. Buck and Linkous were both back out. That must have been some night. Jason said that he was going to turn a few dogs loose also. I think that he had as many dogs as y'all did but he was all by himself. I hope that he made it back home with as many as he left with.

I learned a long time ago a simple posted sign may mean good hunting, but one that's been re-posted with them fancy slick orange posters, well you've then found a honey hole! 😆
