Bryan,

were getting a small amount of snow and alot wind and where it`s blowing across the highway its turning into ice.the temp is around 27 . You would be in business here alot of cars in the ditch and turning over. you would think after 5 snow falls people would learn.
I`ve been so dog poor I`m used to it. LOL its really hard for me to let them go.i have some of the nicest pups i`ve ever assembled at the same time.so i`ve decided to let some of them go.I like keeping a pup from each litter but i can`t do them justice ,so i`m trying to get them into hard hunters hands.I have two not spoken for yet and two for sure all they need is picked up.my goal is to be down by mar 5th.
I``ll still have two young males off of Tree Daddy and 1 female off of Legend that i`m keeping for myself for young prospects.
Do you have Boomer,I hoping Powder makes it she is a pretty good female and she still has a long way to go,she is showing me some promise.take care.

hi matt molly had her pups last night. looks like she is taking good care of them so far. i didn't want to disturb her too much, but as near as i could tell there are 9 or 10 heads in there. looks like some nice marked pups. i talked to dave today. he sure is proud of katie and the rest of his hounds, with good reason. sounds like they are doing a great job for him. i may try coon hunting next week it's getting warmer. hopefully the snow will go down some. dennis

Matt, saw a female the other day out of Stinger, and Midge. I believe Midge is Shane's female. This female was a looker, with a good mouth.

Craig,how time goes so fast,Jake and Pete were nice hounds both could get the job done and what a tree job they would put on.Ol jake sure could take a bad track and make something with it.I bred a daughter out of pete to Jake and I think 8 males and 1 female and she hung her self as a pup.I haven`t heard from any of the hounds out of this cross.i had a real nice male,he would get struck and treed quick.built like jake.He had a set back at the tree and i ended up giving him away.I never heard from any of the others.those pups were born may 1st 2004.I think the pictures of Jake and Pete turned out great.
My knee is feeling better each day.I would love to come down for a hunt sometime before it gets warm . It would be nice to get to turn loose with you and Wayne.me being from up north I would need a navagator hunting in your hills.LOL
You know Wayne loves going to the major Bluetick hunts mabe you can get him to come along with you this year.I`ll be talking to you soon and Good Luck with your new male.

Dennis,it`s sure nice to see some grand pups out of Stinger thats two litter`s now that I know of.wow now you have more EBJ than I do.i can only imagine a female off of Molly and Little Blue bred back to one of the male`s off of Legend and Lou down the road.now that would be some action packed hounds.I hope she raises every one of them and Good Luck.

Country picked up another second place with me handling him last night. He looked pretty good.he treed another tree at the end of the hunt we found what looked like it could be a coon in a hole ,but I wasn`t 100% sure so we circled it.that would have give him a first.I squalled and couldn`t get it to move.
Tom handled Kidd and Tom had a bunch of circle trees and couldn`t get one to look out a hole.both are nice hounds and I think they both will make nt.ch. we all had a good time our friend Sammy rode along and hunted and won the nt ch hunt with his walker hound. we was just glad to get out of the house with all this snow we have .Kidd picked up some show points I handled him in the show and Robert Welch beat us with his young creek hound.I know Kidd will show with just a little work.

that litter out of Stinger and Midge is turning on real good.i know the ones that were fooled with is turning some heads right now.I would say a few will be in the hunts this year.I haven`t seen her since she was 4-5 months old.

Matt,

I just wanted to let you know my Gus X Dixie pups will be 2 weeks old Wednesday and they are some real nice pups.This is the first litter of double bred Stinger pups and I will be watcking their progress .It will either work or it won't.Dixie's first litter by Cowboy look like they are going to make nice ones.I'm getting good reports on them.
For those who don't know Gus and Dixie.Gus is a half brother to Turbo Blue sired by Stinger and Dixie is a full sister to Billy Kooser's Kidd dog.

hi matt i checked today molly had 9 pups i lost a runty little female this afternoon leaving 8. i also think one of these would croos well on a legend x lou pup. from what i'm seeing all the hounds from the coco x spot cross are producing some outstanding offspring. i'll count males and females some time this week. if you could find room for a female let me know. preacher it was my pleasure visiting with you. i sure hope you can get up here for a cat hunt. maybe even drag matt along. looking forward to meeting you in person. dennis

I hope they pull thur for you.It looks like Spot crossed up real nice with Coco and now the offspring are doing good.you should have a well deserving cross out of Molly I`m trying to get down on hounds not up.if I were in need of a pup this cross would be one I would get one from. Did you bred her to Little Blue if so EBJ will be in their 9 times.take care Dennis and I will be mailing a letter to you today.

hi matt molly's pups are out of little blue. 7 males 1 female. born feb. 26. could have used a few more females. i'm happy for what i got though. i have several spoken for and am planning on keeping a couple. i am not going to book any more at this point. i'm planning on breeding skipper when she comes in. will mess her up for bear season. but considering how well she is doing i want to get some offspring from her before something happens to her. dennis

Hi Matt

The hounds are doing well and I am having a good time with them. Roxy has been out twice, first hunt was last saturday and she was not sure what to do around my other hounds. I expected that. She is a beautiful hound, we really like her. Sundays hunt was good, she went from the start with my start dog and ran that coyote from 9 am until 4 3o. Roxy was there at everyroad crossing. I ran her and the start dog by themselves for Roxy. I didn;t want to have a trampled scent running behind the other dogs. I figured I would let her learn as much as possible on her own. Anyway, I never did get that coyote, the dogs were too far behind for me to get into a good position. Roxy did a good job for her first hunt. I was very pleased. The little guy, we name him black jack. He also went exploring with us at the snow hill. I took the kids sledding in a remote area and let him and another dog run loose. The snow is sorta deep for him right now, he was all over that hill exploring, and even exploring on his own. He seemed sort of independant, which I like in a cold trailer.

So far so, good. Roxy has a good voice, she did not open as much as the other dog, and will come in time. The other dog is more expereinced. By the way, the walker guys are already on me about the blueticks, this is heavy duty walker country. I had a good time, showing them both dogs. Have a good day and talk to you soon.

Rick I`m glad your liking both of them. your gonna have fun with the walker guys .Roxy wasn`t fulled with any.I `m glad you have her and I would say a few more times out she will turn into a nice hound 8 months old now ,perfect timing on getting her.
Chris Cadle I seen where you called today and understand you were driving this way.I`ll catch up with you and hope your Legend pups are doing good.

Good hearing from you.If you need another female let me know I have 1 Legend female left.She would cross up with your good male. My knee is feeling good i have a long way to go and i`m sore from giving my legs a work out,my knee is fine.I`m just out of shape.i`ll see you at Ashland.It looks like i`m meeting a guy to bred to either Stinger or Tree Daddy.Both hounds are reproducing nice balanced hounds.I really appraiciate you guys that are giving these ol hounds a chance.Stinger`s off spring will be hitting the hunts this year. we all know what Tree Daddy is throwing.Good Luck .

I had a real hunt tonight Big Country sure put on a show three drops and on one the outside the second looking out a den and the third caught one on the ground.I have to say Thanks to Mike Jennings for hunting him last year he had him from around the third week of august till 1st week of dec.Country just turned two in january and he sure is looking good right now, not perfect by no means he sure has a way of having the meat.I`m really proud of this young hound .I also turned Tree Daddy loose once and he treed a real nice den.I picked up Dennis Upson`s female in Ky when I was in Ky.I had to turn her loose once with the old man.She is off of Rocky and Copper.she has a nicce mouth on her.
When I find the pedigree on the female Tree Daddy bred i`ll post it.

First off I want to say from what i`ve seen out of Stinger`s off spring they can get the job done in any condition.the last two nights i`ve cut Big Country loose .he`s produced a coon each of his turn outs,i`m talking not take all night,conditions are a little rough.
I hunted with Billy Kooser`s Kidd tonight he sure can strike and move a track and don`t take him long to get wooded either.19 degrees tonight and he drove a track across a field thur the section and man what a tree job he put on treed clear in the back of the section .Kidd can get it done quick.he is a favorite he could go places this year if pushed. Billy it would be nice to see him at a few breed hunts this year.I just don`t want to draw him. LOL

Country is a nice young hound who showed us the meat in three trees the other night in below freezing weather. It doesn't take him long to get hooked. He is looking to get treed and have the meat! Keep up the good work with him Matt.

Thanks for the kind words on Big Country he picked up a 1st tonight which made him a Nite.Ch.what I like about him is he is honest and good about having a coon.I didn`t think it would happen this quick.He took second last week at paulding.I look for him to really get cranked up when the snow melts off.on another note Billy Kooser`s Kidd picked up a 2nd place and and a Best of Show with competition with Tommy Jennings handling him.Kidd and Country are off of different females.it was a good night for the Stinger males.
Billy I was just glad I didn`t draw Kidd and your sure welcome to let him stay at my house when you get tired of him theirs nothing better than hunting one better than the ol man himself.Thanks.

Why to go TOM and MATT looks like Mosquito Creek is on a role!!!
COUNTRY getting his first and KIDD getting a second wont be long these two will be GRANDED OUT!!!!!! Then you guys will have to find something else out of that MOSQUITO CREEK line of hounds to put in the hunts.

Thanks Billy and Joe.

We had a great year so far and I keep phone calls on how well the pups are doing out of Stinger and Tree Daddy and Legend.

Country is nothing fancy just tree`s coon.he looks alot better by himself than with other hounds.He has the coon a high percentage of the time for a young two year old.
Joe,You don`t have to worry to much about me running out of dog power I have a few on the back burner just waiting their turn.Tom has really helped me out alot.he sure is a fun guy to pleasure hunt with and a very knowledgable person. I really don`t care for the hunts to much but Tom manages to get me going and I Thank him for that.
