took Chief and a young female for a hunt. Young dog didn't do much, But Chief showed that he still has what it takes. His age is beginning to show. He now wants a little help to jump up into the box.

I haven't updated any hunts in a while. The hunting has been good. Last night we turned lose two dogs 5 times, made 5 trees, and seen all 5 coon. The night before that we hunted 3 dogs. We turned lose 3 times. 1st tree all dogs treed together with a coon. We cut off that tree two dogs treed together with a coon, one dog split with a coon. Next drop 2 dogs treed together slick, the other dog treed 50 yards apart with a coon. the hunt before that we hunted 2 dogs. we made 7 trees. We treed 4 singles. one hemlock, that we couldn't find the coon, one den and one slick. Before those hunts I been hunting Jet some by himself and he has done a good job. Iam over due for a bad night.

hunted Jet and Ranger 4 nights last week . made 5 drops one night. treed 5 singles. Made 4 drops next night Treed 3 singles and a Den. hunted Ranger one night treed 2 singles. hunted Jet Ranger and a walker dog. Made two trees a hemlock and a big oak couldn't find either coon.

Chief

I lost Chief this weekend. Chief would have been 11 years old next week. He was one of my three favorite Coonhounds that I have owned over the last 45 years. He will RIP In my woods behind my house, Under the last tree that he treed a coon in. I will miss my hunting partner.

Thanks Chris. In another mans hands and in a better location, Chiefs reproduction numbers would have been a lot better. Most of his pups went to pleasure hunters. I do have enough semen stored on him to keep his blood in my kennel for a long time

I have a young Male that I purchased from Mackie last week, out of Chief and Fancy. His name was Wild-n-Blue Bucket Head. I have shorten the name to Wild-n-Blue Buck. I hunted Buck with a female last night for two drops 1st drop they split treed 30 yards apart. Buck was slick and Ruby had a coon. I of course didn't like the slick. But did like the pressure he took. He treed 1st Ruby went right by him and treed 30 yards from him. 2nd drop. they treed together and had the coon. Myself Kevin, and Don, Made 6 drops with Ruby and Dons Keisha female. We found 5 of the coon. Ruby and Keisha are both Walker dogs.

hunted Fancy and ruby last night 1st drop Fancy struck 1st then ruby. Both dogs ended up treed at about 600 yards. They where split about 50 yards apart. Both dogs had the coon. second drop. fancy struck then ruby . Ruby treed and Fancy covered. The tree was slick. Recut off that tree. fancy struck then Ruby. Both dogs treed about 400 yards from the tree we turned loose from. They where split about 20 yards apart. Could not find coon in either tree, But coon could have been in both trees. 4th drop Ruby treed at 650 yards with out ground bark. Fancy covered. It was a big cherry tree that went into 3 or 4 big maples. Couldn't find coon. On the way back to truck both dogs opened on lead. Cut them lose and they took a track about 800 yards hooked back towards us and treed on a big hemlock at about 400 yards. Called it a night. Fancy hasn't been hunted since last fall, and I just pulled pups off her 3 weeks ago. She is out of shape but looked pretty good for being stale and coming off her 2nd litter of pups since last fall.

hunted Ruby and Buck. after hunting Jet and Fancy. Moon was full and it was bright out. 1st drop Ruby struck then Buck. buck treed then ruby backed. they had the coon. 2nd drop was ugly. Buck opened on a tree. he treed for about a minute then checked, and headed out. ruby opened then buck. After beating and banging a track for a while Buck treed. Ruby checked his tree located and moved on. We waited a few minutes then went in to check bucks tree. I could not find a coon. Ruby continued to work a track in a heavy thicket. she give a lot of locates but didn't sit down for a bout 10 minutes. I tied buck off his tree and let him tree. Ruby finally come treed about 30 yards from buck. could not find the coon. We called it a night.

I have had 9 or 10 text sent to me. I said calls only NO TEXT!! I have not and will not answer text. The young females are spoken for. Only have pups left. I took the pups for their Rabies shot yesterday. 10/13. I would like to see these pups get in the hands of UKC. and PKC comp. hunters. I could have sold them both to pleasure hunters. I will be selective to where these pups go. If they cant find the right type of hunter they can stay here. These are extra nice pups. thanks Dave

Wild n Blue Jet has a new home in GA. Along with Nite Ch. Ivans and Rielys Blue Fancy. Iam sure they will both enjoy the warm winter of GA. over the cold winter of NY.
