Something's goin' on Chuck,& thats what we be thinkin'. Yep we went last night Mike & only took 1 dog,Andrews blue & still nothin'. I may go tonight with my 2 by themselves & see if I do any good,I didn't take mine last night just ta see what happened, thought with all of 'em that might of been messin' each other up but not the case so far, when I was comin' home last night never seen one road coon. My huntin' buddy set a live trap & baited it just ta see if he could catch somethin' & it's still empty,he said he seen coon tracks this summer everywhere,I ain't seen any along river banks or creeks. My old dog is good about any weather conditions Hillbilly but she's gettin' old & in heat now, been huntin' her sister & she's almost as good,a little more tight mouthed usually slips up on 'em better but not here lately.

Posted by hillbilly56 on 12-01-2013 03:35 PM:

yea thats the kinda dog i like real tight mouth to silent that way ya don't have to walk as far lol

Posted by bigtimberkennel on 12-01-2013 03:44 PM:

I sure don't walk far with her or her sister maybe 400-500 yards tops, she checks in & off we go again, pleasure dog,got some competition huntin' guys that's hunted with her & bugs the daylights out of them, she don't hunt deep enough for them, but they don't complain & theirs hunt too deep for me,that's why we own what we do,when I'm ready to stop I don't have far ta go ta get mine.

Both dogs did a great job and we treed many coons. had the hunt off behind the club with your honorable Auston Lane as our non hunting judge, all three dogs treed thier oun coon. Thanks to all that came out!

Posted by bigtimberkennel on 12-01-2013 10:47 PM:

Can you make any homebrew ? I know when I use ta haul trailers from the Utility plant in Atkins,Va. the guard there had a still from his great grandad & there they could legally brew so many gallons per year,as long as they didn't sell it,had somethin' ta do with their heritage.

Posted by hillbilly56 on 12-01-2013 10:51 PM:

Accurate Hunt Report

Well I went to one of my honeyholes where I have always got something ... but not tonite,no slicks,no dens, not even a strike,& there was a creek with cornfield that hadn't even been worked, there's a trash pile where I've treed before nothin' there & no tracks along creek,& I know nobody hunts it but me,there's an old barn where I've treed in not even it. At least she didn't lie to me,I'm beginin' to wonder about the coons up here & where their at. There's 2 corn piles where farmers spilled corn at grain bins & I've been checkin' them, haven't been dug in by nothin'. I went 1/2 mile one way tonite without even a whimper, couldn't of ask for a better night to hunt, nice out,end of report.
