Talked to a guy early this week said his brother was just leavin' coon in the woods,weren't worth draggin' out,worst thing ain't nobody buyin' 'em so the coon take a beatin',have heard jumbo & large coon may be bought,maybe is the key word,& that's if their fleshed.

another cold moroning it's up to 11 degress now they say 44 for the high same everywhere with price of coon hides nobody buyin around here that ive heard ive knock 3 out all season if my dog has to have evry 1 she get's tree i don't need to hunt her

I 've got lazy fingers , they don't want to type anymore ,lol

well I hate to say it but I aint packing them out either..ive killed 15 coons so far and treed 39,so I figure if iam leaving more than iam killing maybe next year there will still be plenty of coons..poor Darwin is still sitting on 2500 coons at the auction house,he told me he gave anywhere from 4 to 14 bucks for the coons.thats not counting the time he spent skinning and fleshing and drying and shipping..he says he don't think he will ever buy anymore fur unless things do a big turn around..so if theres no buyers what is a guys choice but to leave them in the woods...

I don't disagree w/ leavin' more in tree than on the ground,just a dang shame to waste 'em,but I sure wouldn't want to stockpile 'em in the freezer & get caught w/ 'em durin' the off season either,that fine might cost ya the farm,the dnr should let guys like Darwin hold 'em till the price did get better,but we know that ain't gonna happen.

in the last couple years ive sold a few to the taxidermy guys for 25 to 30 bucks..but they only want triple xxx large good colored ...but they only buy 2 or 3 a year..i hate to waste them but the old dog needs one once in awhile..i skinned 2 this year brought them home and boiled them up .mixed them with dog food and fed them to the dogs..they sure liked them....

I used to give coon carcasses to an old black man & his woman cooked 'em,she said to bake 'em a while before ya finished cookin' 'em,that would take all the grease out of 'em,makes sense,I'll take her word for it.

Well I reckon we're all still stuck w/ bein' a regular Joe .... nobody won the $524,000,000.00 I knew I wasn't gonna,since I never bought a ticket. Seen on news somebody in Vincennes,In. matched 4 numbers & won $50,000.00 not bad for 2 bucks.
