John II pup

Tim, I showed little Robin her first coon last night and she went ballistic. At first she just wanted to bugger bark at him but when we pulled the cage away she dove in to keep it from getting away and got a hold of him a couple of times. The coon bit her on the nose and she flipped out and went after him like she was a big dog. She is going to be another easy one to get going. She has a mouth that most people would die for in thier hounds. I just have to be carefull because she is so little, this coon is twice as big as she is. She doesn't think so though. Tomorrow night we will turn it loose and see how she does.

Turk pups

I'm working Robin on the caged coon tonight along with a buddies (walcur) pup. They are both about the same age but his walker pup has never seen a coon. Were having our own battle of the breeds so to speak. I think I've got one up on him though, I allready know Robin will go ballistic on the coon.
Hows Alabama? The rain quit here and I think it followed you down there. Tell Lance and Dana and the boys Hi.

Sounds to me like John II (Turk) has put a lot of nice pups on the ground. I have a pup (Zeke) out of John II & NITECH GRCH PR' Mad Dog Hey Jude ... Zeke is 5 1/2 months old ... doing nicely ... pics and vid on my thread "More Mad Dog Blood coming to Minnesota".

I have a 5 1/2 month old female out of Turk and ChNtCh Mad Dog Little Lou ( GrChNtCh Jet 6 Indiana Blue Rocket x NtCh Levi's Northern Blue Lou). She has allready opened on track and tries to run with the big dogs. Showed her a caged coon and she went ballistic on it. She has a super loud bawl mouth, better than most male dogs. I'll post some pics in a day or two, I'm taking her out tonight with the older dogs.

Great time and Hunt

Well, Tim and Lisa just left and we had a great time. Nitech Mad Dog All Jazzed Up (owned by Brian Hutchinson) won BBOA Zone 6 Queen of Hunt and High scoring overall dog. Shaun Quinn handled her. They did a great job and represented us all well. Tim will post a pic. when he gets back. The bluetick turnout was not as good as we hoped but the overall turnout was good. We hunted about 35 dogs. Less than half were blueticks. We are going to rest the next couple of days so forgive me if we seem out of pocket. I appreciate all Tim's advice that he gave us (I am sure allot of us can say that.). He may return for the zone 6 championship in august. That will be fun. Ruby is a nice hound and the mad dog pups that he brought for Cheyenne and Casey were good looking active pups. I am so excited to see these pups in the south. I am proud of Tonto we just didn't do him justice spending so much time trying to find Spice II. We enjoyed meeting different people who were class acts at the hunt and show. Roy, thanks for thinking about us and we hope to see you at the bunkhouse soon. Lance and Dana

Jazz is headed back to Missouri with Tim so Brian can get her ready for bluetick days and maybe a couple of RQE's. She is a nice hound that we would be proud to own.

Roy & Timmy ... Robin sure looks nice .... and hates a coon too! Sure is a pleasure working with a pup that has the natural ability and desire to get after a coon! I myself am sold on the "Mad Dog" breeding!

Tim ... Glad to know you had a good trip, and made it home safely. Zeke is coming along great! He is simply a "Pleasure" to work with, and have around! My hunting partner of over 40 years, told me this past Saturday ... "I think you got a good one there" .... that meant a lot to me because he doesn't issue compliments easily! ...

I am up an at em this am, had a good trip home , ran into some bad weather west of ST Louis several semis blown off the interstate. Just a lot of rain and big wind. Took us a little over 12 hrs straight driving to get home.

Met several old friends and made some new ones at the Zone 6 hunt in Alabama. I hunted against Jazz and she looked good scoring with the dogs and getting one by herself. Jazz won NT CH, Queen of Hunt and overall high scoring dog of hunt, not a bad showing for a "Mad-Dog"........will post pictures later......Tim

The 3 pups out of Mindy and Joker are sure dandys it gunna be hard to pick out which one to keep. All 3 are "pick of the littter" as far as I can see.....We'll be in touch!!
Katie won show champion female this weekend. I dont mean to sound like I'm braging cuz I was not the breeder but.......she is really starting to turn some heads! We need some fine tuning in the woods yet but she is starting to take charge and I'm not gunna have to sit back and wait for the other dogs to back her. When she locates....... its over!!!

Yes Tim, He is Grand Nite Ch Ch Nolan Creek Go-Yonder Rowdy.

He was out of Maddog Banging Blue Spanky and Kasner's Candy (Dryfork Blue Spud X Welsh Mt. Grover's Fly). DOB 10/16/94

One litter of his grandpups had 3 nite champions, 3 others that made excellent pleasure hunting dogs, and one that made a famous Utah bear dog.

I still have one of his son's and 3 of his grand pups.
